What is their damn problem? I'm really getting sick of them doing this. I'm sorry, but I REALLY am. I've been supportive of them too, but I've just about had it. There is no excuse for this incompetence.

I just called the campaign and asked the person who answered if they had any idea why the news people on TV and radio were reporting the totals as 5.4 million. I was told no, they had no idea. I suggested to them that it was BECAUSE THEY HADN'T UPDATED THE WEBSITE BEYOND BYDLAK'S EMAIL FROM YESTERDAY! I was told they were planning on issuing a press release soon. I asked again if they would PLEASE just update the website.

I guess we'll see.

Posted after midnight: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Jesse Benton

December 17, 2007 703-248-9115

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Congressman Ron Paul’s presidential campaign had a record fundraising day yesterday.

In a 24-hour period on December 16, the campaign raised $6.026 million dollars, surpassing the one-day record of $5.7 million held by John Kerry.

During the day, over 58,000 people contributed to Dr. Paul’s campaign, including 24,940 first-time donors. Over 118,000 Americans have donated to the campaign in the fourth quarter.

The $6 million one-day total means the campaign has raised over $18 million this quarter, far exceeding its goal of $12 million.

“We have the right message: freedom, peace and prosperity,” said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder. “We also have the right candidate: Dr. Ron Paul.”

Congressman Paul will be campaigning in Iowa today hold including a press conference at 12:45 pm at the Des Moines Marriott in the Des Moines Room.

You've GOT to be kidding. Do you think people just sit by the radio and TV waiting for an update? No, some people will only hear the 5.4 million number.

Yeah, I know. Why couldn't they have posted this on the campaign website? Was that so hard for them to do?

Jesse Benton needed to sleep in until he rolls out of bed at noon for a press conference. Hopefully he'll comb his hair before going out there.

This is getting silly. Fox news just afetr lunch reported it as a record for the republicans - maybe they read 5.4 on website and compared to kerry's 5.7

Why can't they just write in big bright letters across the top of the official website:

"Yesterday Ron Paul set a new record for donations in a single day, beating all other republicans and the democrats, raising over $6m".

Or like libertyeagle just paste the press release onto the main site. I'm deeply disappointed that this hasn't been made more prominent on the site. I know they're planning a press conference later but that means we have missed the chance to really capitalise on yesterday's remarkable haul in the media today.

If a Ron Paul supporters screams in frustration at the top of her lungs, but there is no one around to hear her, did she make any sound?
