They will have a hard time spinning this news story into something negative, won't the MSM just ignore this story?
I don't expect a complete news blackout, maybe a quick mention here and there on the TV news channels, but not the kind of coverage that everyone wants.
Am I being too pessimistic?

I think it will be similar to Nov. 5th to be honest. There will be some mild buzz, but we already have a hour with Beck on radio and TV, Tim Russert's Meet the Press on Sunday, and a bunch of townhalls to attend in Iowa/NH. There really is enough on Ron's plate where he doesn't have to worry about a blackout by the MSM. Once January rolls around he can pump a ton of cash into putting tv ads on.

No, you're right. They will spin it as a "glass half empty" type of thing. Check out the story from wonkette.com that I posted.

So far CNN's American Morning spent all of 10 seconds on it.

This morning's coverage was a bust.
MSNBC gave out the wrong amount, Fox and CNN only mentioned the event in 10 second blurbs. CSPAN had the best coverage, reading parts of a favorable article from Politico.com. This is what I expected.
It will be interesting to see if the TV news outlets will break from their normal news coverage to cover the press conference at 12:45 ET.

Don't forget, this morning on CNN, Ron Paul breaking all fundraising records was passively squeezed into 30 seconds saying "Yeah, he raised 6 million dollars", followed by "OH MY GOD HILLARY HAS THE SUPPORT OF THE DES MOINE REGISTER" for 15 minutes, with a live interview.

it will take them a day, then it will be about ron paul for the rest of the week. Tomorrow we will see if they will black it out. I doubt they will.

To be honest, I haven't really seen much coverage on it. I think the most coverage I've seen has been on the two internet sites, and that's http://politico.com and http://drudgereport.com
The TV has been pretty NON-Existant about it. But I don't watch much TV anyways.
I think CNN is starting to cover it a little bit.

I have been a lurker here for a few weeks, and today finally registered when the money bomb fizzled in terms of news.
I am just absolutely blown away at the lack of coverage of this massive story. Any other candidate....huge headlines, we'd hear about it all day, all week. But there was barely a blip in the news. It makes me feel sick. I mean, all these other frauds and fakes getting all the focus...
After the last two terms under Bush, should the media and public not be clammering for the kind of candidate Ron Paul is? Honesty. Fearlessness. Integrity. TRUTH. What is everybody afraid of? Exactly how is this squashing happening? Where is responsible journalism? These truly are dark times.
I find myself feeling depressed that the writer strike is going on and I can't watch the real news...the Daily Show and Colbert Report. This is a farce. A total farce.

Is that photo legitimate?
If it is, were they not letting supporters in to fill the vacuum left by the media scum?
Please tell me that is NOT from the press conference !??!"
:( :( :(
Help change the American lexicon. We are all trying to remember to call the MSM "the Old Media" now. Pass it along!

Besides the Fox news debacle, the interviews today have been very positive.
