Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul has raised more money in one day than any other candidate in U.S. election history. The Ron Paul campaign took in more than $6 million on December 16th, 2007, breaking the one-day record formerly held by John Kerry.

Dr. Paul will speak at a press conference at 12:45 pm on Monday at the
Des Moines Marriott in the Des Moines Room. Members of the press are strongly encouraged to attend, as the candidate will not be immediately available throughout the day.

THIS IS WHERE THE TOTAL WILL BE KNOWN

Rock. On.

Wonder if that 'leading newspaper' The Des Moines Whatever will be there, or if they'll be too too busy trying to find their favored candidate, McCain.

This is incredible! Good to see they are on top of this.

And probably in their mind they don't even need to acknowledge the alleged Hillary number, since they debunked that thoroughly at the post-Novemeber 5th press conference.

"more money in one day than any other candidate in U.S. election history"

Damn that feels good!

Yeah!

And if Hillary doesn't like Kerry being the record holder, we beat her record too, so where is a bucket of water?

And it was before the primaries even started, not after the nomination!

Ron Paul is the only candidate that can win the election.

I've already seen several sites reporting the $6M as the largest donation in a day ever. I'm shocked that some of the news organizations may have actually done their homework this time. I'm sure it's just an oversight :p

Exactly. His next big moneybomb needs to be Feb 6th when they start accepting general election funds(hopefully) and it's painfully clear that he's sweeping the primaries ;)

RP had announced a few days ago he's have a press conference in Des Moines on Monday.

Iowa meetups should try to be there with signs... Show the press it's not just money, but people!

Good idea! It's short notice, but someone should contact Iowa Meet-up groups with this information. If the press is going to be there like the article says, this will help!
