The day after Paul wins or comes in 2nd in New Hampshire - what do you think? Should be around that day.

I think it would be cool to have one on Martin Luther King Day, but I agree, we've topped out, time to move on to other projects. :)

Forget money bombs, we're all in from now on. What good would another money bomb do? Better to donate right away when you can, let the campaign use it earlier.

Horrible idea. Do NOT save money past the New Year. Whatever you can donate by the end of the quarter - please get it in by the end of the quarter.

Once January comes around, fundraising numbers become IRRELEVANT. Results in the actual primaries are what matter at that point. The last time that fundraising numbers matter are the 4th quarter totals.

Give your money now. If you will get new cash after the New Year that you can donate, donate it as soon as you get it. The earlier the better.

I think a lot of people now will be donating to chip-ins and local things. The pace of the campaign is going to quicken and putting all the money in HQ's hands may not be the fastest way to make things happen.

Yea I agree no more money bombs. Let's get more money to the blimp project. Maybe we can raise enough to get a second (or even third?) blimp. We should also start looking even more to ourselves and create small local projects to get Ron Paul's word out.

MLk day would be cool.

Im torn tho. Part of me thinks it should just be all in from now on ...the other part of me thinks big money bombs help garner enthusiasm for people to donate , who wouldnt normally donate , plus attract more supporters.

Thing is , 2008 is a busy busy time for Ron and im not sure periods of hardly any money coming in will help him , even with the big 1 day total.

yeah -- no more money bombs. get out there and talk to everyone you know twenty times if it takes that to convince them. you've heard of six degrees of separation right? convince one person and they convince someone else and so on, the next thing you know half the country will support Dr. Paul. We've proved to the media and the nation that we are here and we are for real, now we have to tell them why!

An important goal of the money bombs was to generate press / MSM attention. With two major events now, it's unlikely they would pay attention to a third one.

As others have said, it's much better to give when you can, rather than waiting for some artificial money bomb date.

NO MORE MONEYBOMBS!!!

We couldn't hardly beat this one. I mean we might manage to top it by a hundred thousand or so at best, but not enough to get media attention. And after today, the whole world knows we can get mad money fast, so it won't get as much attention.

I say put your money into the campaign and the blimp as soon as you have it now. The moneybomb strategy phase is over, now we just need to keep consistently donating to the campaign and grassroots projects, especially the blimp.

good point

do it once, they say its a fluke
do it twice, they can no longer say it
do it three times, and they will not even pay attention (*yawn*)

until he is well on his way to the general election and needs it versus Obama ;)

The campaign has enough money now to do with it what they will. If they can't win Iowa and New Hampshire with 20 million they can't win it with 100 million. If they do win one or both of those states that will generate huge media exposure in and of itself and there will be no need for donations to take place in "bomb format". They can simply be done by individuals as needed to fund the national campaign.

Trevor mentioned on Ron Paul Radio that he was THINKING about one on Martin Luther King's birthday- January 15.

I think that's too soon. If anything, do it after the primaries February 15. MAYBE on Valentine's Day? Then, rather he gets the nomination or not, we should give him more money to say, "We're still with you, buddy!" I personally LOVE the two month planning period we'd get. That, and Valentine's day would be great for the rEVOLution!

justinc is right. It would be VERY tough to top this and get media attention based on the numbers. After all, this *was* the largest day in US history.

Staying tuned to events and donating to targeted efforts is the way to go, now.

How about targeting 20,700,000.00 to ring out 2007!

Not a money bomb, but a 14 day jog to the finish line.

Guess it should say 20,070,000.00
