I just posted this on a sports board I frequent. There is a general discussion board where people debate politics, and the discussion was on the merits of BUSH vs. CLINTON, specifically referring to their pardons granted. I responded with the following:

You guys need to do some research. Honestly, there is NO DIFFERENCE in BUSH and CLINTON and McCAIN and OBAMA and the whole lot of them. At least research Ron Paul. You might just like what you find, if you can forget the brainwashing for a moment. Find out what a real patriot looks like. You want someone who will defend your LIBERTY? Protect your PRIVACY? Lower your TAXES? Someone who is pro-life, yet wants the federal gummit out of the picture so that issues like abortion can be decided on a STATE level? Someone who has advocated abolishing the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, so that the local communities, answerable only to the parents, make the decisions about education? Someone who vows to do everything in his power to abolish the IRS? Someone who vows to bring our troops home from the 130 NATIONS we are occupying with American troops? A statesman who has NEVER ACCEPTED THE CONGRESSIONAL PENSION offered? An ob-gyn that delivered 4000 babies and served proudly in the UNITED STATES AIR FORCE before serving 10 TERMS IN THE TEXAS LEGISLATURE? A Congressman who has NEVER ONCE VOTED TO RAISE TAXES? A man who has devoted his life to REVIVING THE CONSTITUTION?

Please do the research. Ronald Reagan spoke glowingly about Ron Paul. Dr. Paul is the ONLY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE that is AGAINST GUN CONTROL, AGAINST GOING TO WAR UNDER U.N. MANDATE, AGAINST THE PATRIOT ACT.
Ron Paul has stated many times, "I am not for government. I am for the individual."

Perhaps most importantly, Ron Paul is TOTALLY AGAINST AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Do the country a favor, and check out:

We will soon be setting up a meetup group for Hattiesburg on meetup.com.
There are over 18,000 Americans already attending these monthly meetings. No matter where you are in the country, there is likely a Ron Paul meetup near you. Let me know if you are interested, and I will hook you up with the right people.

If politics are being discussed there, it seems you are spot on. Be aware that some people may still get offended because they often draw a distinction between discussing current events and advocating a particular candidate or party.

ya, that's pretty good. depends what audience you're writing to, but it might be a little harsh at the beginning. I think it's good though, I like how you outlined who he is in a short couple paragraphs -- and you showed grassroots support is there if anybody's with you. i think you did a good job.

I think it's great, Noodles. The only thing is that I don't think this forum is a good place for people new to Ron Paul. That's just my opinion though.

In my opinion if you want to use capitalization to emphasize your points, use it sparingly, so as to give it added meaning, instead of every other word capitalized. But thats just me...

Very nice...
What were the responses?? I'm sure a live webcam would've shown something like Neo being unplugged from the Matrix...

Looks fine to me. I would have added that republicans and democrats are one big party, only they want big government for different reasons.

Dr Paul served 9 terms in the federal House, currently on his 10th, not the TX legislature. ;)

You're right... I missed that one. :)

Thanks for the comments. I think I should make a few trial runs before posting anything else for the uninitiated. Seems that when I start typing, my emotions take off.

I don't think I've ever wanted something this much, outside of my family of course. Sometimes I feel like my life's purpose was to get to this point and help Dr. Paul revive this republic.

Thank all of you for giving of yourselves to this common purpose. I am proud to be one of the foot soldiers in the Ron Paul Army.

I always just say: Go to YouTube, type in Ron Paul.

avaroth videos come up, and they're instant sellers. Short and easy. When people give me a ton of links, I never go to any of them :)

in my opinion its better to do the following

1-you can't be a noob to a forum, being someone wtih just 1 post, labels you as a spammer in the eyes of everyone

2-your initial post can't be long either. Most people have very shot attention span. Start out with just 1 point. Then when someone asks for clarification or quotes you with their piece, you can add more stuff about Ron Paul
