As I recall, the figure was $350,000 just to rent the blimp for a month (and at that, the owner, an RP fan, was giving a special price), let alone further expenses for staff, publicity, legal, including $10,000 for the fat DC lawyer that the blimp apparently requires to keep from being grounded.

Don't get me wrong, I love blimps (and airships of all kinds), and it is a neat idea, but maybe not just before the Tea Party (and going into winter when there'll be a lot of time the blimp is grounded by the weather -- like today -- but still costing $XXX/day).

So it might not be the right time to remind everyone that the blimp has already soaked up over $250,000 from the community, as we watch the slowly-rising total for the Tea Party, which is doing well, yes, but not looking quite like the blockbuster I was hoping for (i.e. minimum $4.3 x 2 = $8.6-10 million).
