Last money bomb idea?

I'm wondering, is there any way to organize a new fund raising idea? This being of a website that you could purchase peices of the US, such as states, or counties of each state, at say $50 a county or whatever for freedom? Could be done as a last push for the 4th quarter, or the first quarter of 2008? Thoughts?

Each person could get up to 23 counties for the campaign and even more for chip ins for the blimp and stuff.

Donations per county would be good. We need an idea of representation per county. Both for donations to a county and from a county. One unique donation from each county would be a big milestone.

It would also help focus Meet-ups and such so we know where we are weak.
