Dr. Paul has 2% support among men and zero among women--this is an increase from not measurable the previous two and not included before that.

Oh, and they now are factoring the polls with a "Without McCain" question to see where his supporters would go when he drops out. That's gotta hurt.

First is Rudy, way ahead at 46% but falling, then McCain at 11% but falling, Fred at 9%, Romney 7%, Gingrich at 6%, then tied at 1% (in no order) were Paul, Brownback, Huckabee, Tommy Thompson, and no measurable support were: Gilmore, Hunter and Tancredo.

So I guess we're tied for fourth among the announced candidates!

These polls are a bit arbitrary until people become interested in the elections. Right now it's almost 100% name recognition (and all the questionable polling methods don't help either). I'd be much more interested in polling those who volunteer and are political involved.

True, it's really pointless right now.

No, not pointless, but, as is being pointed out, they show how much work we have to do to get Dr. Paul's name and message out there.

He's getting mentioned, and he is rising, little by little. Just wait until the heavyweights start hurling at each other. Giuliani and Romney will be like Dean and Gephardt in 2004. :D

pointless poll. funny how they always had him with a one
and how odd they always give rudy a boost.

The real poll is the election poll.

I Live in New Jersey... The Senior Giuliani gets support here just because of the name recognition were right next to New York City... Thats okay.. Like Iowa, Our 2% will march to the polls and crush the wickedness of our oppressors,.

Had to steal that last line from Georgie Patton

Having seen the MSM peeled back to it's ugly skin, clearly blacklisting Ron Paul and misrepresenting him (RP adds party crashing to campaign tactics) I am now convinced these polls are just an extension of the propaganda campaign. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even call anyone. You might say, that would get out. But the fact that the MSM is entirely silent on RP unless they are obliged to produce the same, single, unflattering story, all in unison, and THAT doesn't get out, tells me something bigger is going on.

That said, NJ is a suburb of NYC, so Rudy may in fact do well there.

Exactly, these polls dont mean dick right now. All they really mean is "whos name do you see on tv the most?". Once people start really shopping for a candidate, things will change in all areas im sure.

We still need to continue getting out and meeting and greeting people. If they don't know about Ron Paul, they most certainly will not vote for him.

I'm with you that this is just an extensionof a propoganda campaign. These are the reasons things don't add up.

1) libertarians are very loyal, and RP is very pure and the best one to come around in a long time. I would wager the libertarian vote is at least 1% nationally, but probably much higher in this state. If he did nothing else, the libertarian vote alone would match 1%.

2) He was in 3 debates, and had CONTROVERSY. Once Giuliani confronted RP, it made headlines. He was pretty obscure online even until that day, and then he exploded with national media coverage. He also had a memorable performance.

3) He has 17,000 members in meetup groups, which resembles the Dean campaign 4 years ago. These people are bringing info to the streets.

4)The antiwar republicans make up 30% of the GOP. RP is a unique candidate, therefore he is bound to capture a percentage of this vote.

5) Independents and democrats

6) His online presence, with 1.7 million youtube views does not suggest an unpopular or unknown candidate. You can't get those numbers by accident. Most people don't go on youtube for politics. He is also is hugely popular on news sites like digg.

It makes no sense to me that he is 1%.
