Austin Tea Party = HUGE!

I just got back from the Tea Party in Austin, TX about an hour ago. It was AWESOME, and God really pulled through with the weather - not a cloud in the sky.

The lowest number of people that could have been there was 500... our Meetup organizer just sent out an email saying that one of the cops that was with us specializes in crowd control, and according to him, we had about 1,000 people!!

We marched from the Texas Capitol down to Austin's Town Lake (now it's called Lady Bird Lake), and threw our boxes into the lake. We picked them up, of course. :-)

It was just incredible. I hope all the other tea parties were a hit, too!

I was close to the end of the parade - and the line ahead of me went all the way across the bridge, down the stairs, and toward the second rally point.

At least 1000 Ron Paul supporters were with us by then (~4 PM).

I had gotten a rough count at 3 PM when we started at the Capitol, and we had around 500 then - with plenty more still showing up throughout the speeches, and as we marched down Congress.
