The Sons of Liberty was a secret organization of American Patriots which originated in the Thirteen Colonies before the American Revolution. British authorities and supporters known as Loyalists considered the Sons of Liberty as seditious rebels, and referred to them as "Sons of Violence" and "Sons of Iniquity."

The Sons of Liberty attacked the apparatus and symbols of British authority and power such as gentlemen's homes, Customs officers, East India Company tea, and as the war approached, vocal supporters of the Crown.

Just as before, we (the sons of liberty) attack our new threat on a daily basis.
the media, crooked politicians, neocons, and anyone standing in the way of LIBERTY

no matter what the outcome of the coming election.
the sons of liberty will always exist to make sure personal liberty and the constitution is held in this country as the highest symbolism for America.

it will be a way to stay united as a group long after ron paul is elected.

what do you guys think?

Sons of Liberty is good with me (and I'm female, but why get picky about the gender thing?).

You realize sons of liberty is the name of the conspiracy perpetrated by a new world order in Metal Gear Solid 2 right?

I mentioned that name a month or so ago and it kinda didn't get any traction but I personally love it. That is the best name rooted in history that describes us IMO.

The existence of the first U.S. civil flag came about in 1767 when members of the "Sons of Liberty" rebelled against the Stamp Act by turning the flag of the British East India Company on its side and then flew it on the "Liberty Tree". The "on it's side" vertical stripes were then declared to represent individual sovereignty over the King of England. This new flag, also known as the "Rebellious Flag" and the "Common Law" flag, quickly became the flag of the American Revolutionaries.

I like this version myself, to be gender-neutral. I usually don't pay any attention to that PC krap, but in this case it would be a good idea to be as inclusive as possible.

prob any printing company.

i wonder if we should update it in any way to suit us specifically more or leave it the way it is..

maybe write "sons of liberty" across it, or below the eagle.

maybe a small insignia, nothing to taint the image, just enough that anyone who knows what it is will know what the person that has it is about
