I know some might not agree with it. But ronpaulforpresident2008.com is pro the idea and so am I. :-)

I like the idea of a last jolt. That, and we need to get 6.3 million for three reasons:
a) To beat Hillary's rumored 6.2 million June 30 record or Kerry's rumored 5 million something record.
b) People are betting on this online, most went for the 6-8 million mark. IF they're right, that extra money will more than likely be put into the campaign tomorrow.
c) The rumored supporter-made commercial will get aired.

I'll be donating a bit at last hour.

There will be too much runoff into the next day

I just hope everyone tries to get their donations before 11:45. You never know if there will be a delay with all the donations coming in. We don't want donations spilling over into tomorrow!

I think RP has 2 million in offline donations that have not been added yet.

What?

It's not rumored to be made, the commercial is made and done. We just needed 8 million to get it aired. I do however want to find out what's going on with that.

No way. There was about $300k in offline donations last time. Assume that it's a little under 10% of the online total.

But I second the notion that you want to get all donations in by 11:45pm eastern time. You don't want to have run off. Start the money bomb at 10pm - not 11pm.

Someone posted earlier today they called campaign HQ and they said they had 2 million in offline donations.

I second that. The campaign sent out an e-mail recently saying they'd brought in $3.7 Million on the day.... when we were close to that in online donations. If they really had $2 Million in offline donations, they'd be bragging about it in press releases.

Actually, adding up the entire 4th quarter, the campaign has already added close to $1.7 Million in offline donations. So it is very plausible that we've just hit $2 Million in offline donations for the entire QUARTER.

But most of that is already showing in the widget. The question is what we've raised today that isn't yet showing on the widget... and there's no way that's more than $500k.

. . . Have we beat November 5th's yet?

We've already seen many people reporting a server overload. Clearly there is a logical limit to how many donations can be made at once. It is best to just go an donate now, not all at once, or it will backfire with people not being able to donate today at all.

Yes. Technically we're like $100k below... but I'm sure we have over $100k in offline donations.

Have we already debunked the 6.7 that Mitt Romney was said to have raised in the following article...did this also include some of his own money?

I think you read an old thread that was pulled up yesterday. That was from the second quarter.
