We need to get about 6.5 mil to break all other records... this should be our goal, and we are within reach.

Yes, the previous 1 day donation record, although skewed, was by Clinton.

I think it was 6.1 or 6.3 million.

To whoop this would be incredible!

Yes but that was OFFLINE and from PAC's (special interests included) and not diverse individuals like Ron, no?

Yes, I know. Tell the media.

If we beat this total, the media will no longer report it as: the largest online donation for the Republican party, but rather: the largest online donation ever!

The greatest single day fundraising total was 5.7 million by John Kerry in 2004.

Ok, so $6.3 million breaks all records - Republican, Democrat, offline, and online.

Yes, we're way overconfident, but it's fun. The total right now is projecting out to around $5.9 million, so we need to pick up the pace. Hopefully that will happen if Hillary's "record" is within sight at the end of the day.

The money will get a lot of publicity and buy a lot of ads, but we still need to get people registered and out to vote, and the registration deadlines are hitting us now.
