By supporting VoteRonPaul.com, you are not contributing to the Official Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign Committee. Instead, you are supporting an American company that contracts with American citizens and manufacturers to create this website and all of its products. VoteRonPaul.com operates solely through your donations and the sale of our Ron Paul support merchandise.

you got screwed man, you just donated to clothing line.

Call your credit card. The number is on the back of the card and tell them to cancel the donation.

Contact Pay Pal and tell them what happened and ask for advise on retracting that payment. They have a resolution team and are very reputable Ann

They are a scam site set up to collect a few donations from suckers who find them through the search engines.

They would not put a donation box with such a high profile on their front page otherwise and would provide a clearer warning.

Scammers. How can we put them down?

Do this.

First step would be contact the company you sent to and just explain it and see if they will return the money (minus fees) to your account

Here is what I sent to their contact link...

I am writing to advise you to clarify your donation links on your website.
The money you are collecting is not going to the Ron Paul Political Campaign, yet your layout implies just that.
People are complaining on national forum about YOU.

Sure they should read the fine, hard to read, print.
Many are in such a frenzy to help, that they look for the donate button and ignore the writing.
You are aware of this, I am certain.

Be advised that there are legal types ramping up action against YOU.
You may want to either revise the layout asap, or prepare to defend yourself legally.

To simplify, you may just provide an additional button directly to Ron Paul's Donation site and label BOTH clearly.

Please do what it takes to clarify your layout. You are undermining the movement by misdirecting funds.

Just trying to help.

Is that wrong :D

fortilite

They're scammers, they won't care about your letter. Go to this link and complain about it to Paypal. We need to pull them off of Paypal.

Below is the series of emails (reverse order) from my contact with VoteRonPaul.com

Yes, you can post the email. We are going to redesign elements of our site this coming week to prevent this matter from happening in the future.

Thank you for notifying us of this situation. We would like to send you a t-shirt and some posters. What size do you wear and what is your address?

Gratefully,

-VoteRonPaul.com
