Alaska so far today has about double the donor's per capita of ANY other state??

Is it because they don't go to church in Alaska??? :D

I know I wouldn't it's too cold to go outside! Seriusly, WTG Alaska supporters!

Where's the per capita donations table? I can only find the individual states' charts.

Nice!

Guess that means there are two things I love about Alaska:

-their governor ;)
-their support of the good doctor (probably the more important!)

Alaska has many rugged self reliant individuals, who dont expect to be taken care of by anyone.

Also remember that the widget is set to eastern time. Alaska has its own time zone, therefore when the party started it was 8 in the evening in Alaska and people didn't have to stay up to donate.

States with low populations have much more inconsistent numbers of per capita donors - a slight fluctuation or randomness looks like a much larger effect. Alaska has 60 donors per million today. But there are only like 400k people in that state - so that's only about 25 donors. States like California and New York will have close to 1000 donors by the end of the day....

It makes a ton of sense. Ron Paul is polling the highest in Alaska over any other state of the union. In fact, he's winning in Alaska:

I know I wouldn't it's too cold to go outside! Seriusly, WTG Alaska supporters!I always thought of Alaska people as being independent types who highly valued freedom and self reliance - I mean you pretty much have to be to live there. It seems natural that Dr. Paul would have a lot of support there. You know what I find amazing is the huge amount of support the good Dr. has overseas - meetup groups in dozens of countries. Foreign blogs and what not supporting Dr. Paul. And isn't there pretty much a Ron Paul group for virtually every type of minority. All smart people know that opportunity and tolerance comes from liberty. Sorry, I'm very excited today - as I know all of you are too. As far as Iowa goes - if we don't do great there, who cares. There are just to many dimwits there who will vote for anyone who claims to be chosen by God.

i worked my way through college as a machinist in a cannery. Alaskans consider themselves and carry themselves like cowboys in the old west.... Their is a bar called the "Elbow Room" in Unalaska that was written up in WSJ about a decade ago - and when the fishing is good (and they're not on strike) - the wait staff gets hundred dollar tips and and it averages about two good fights a night (fueled by booze, virtually no women, and cocaine).

And The Bush Company was always a must-see side-trip in Anchorage on the way home :)

Go AK!

Guys, that was an INTERNET poll. See where it says that it's not scientific?

We are NOT at 29% in Alaska.

True however Alaska is more receptive than most imo. Of the people I get to talk to on a regular basis about Paul my conversion rate is >50%. Alaskans are very independent people with Republican leanings.

I believe that Alaska is probably one of our better states. Or, atleast, one of our most receptive. I don't know how many people are yet paying attention there. Few states that are February 5th or later are really paying attention yet. That's why Rudy is still leading so many of them. Rudy isn't winning any state that is paying attention. He'll probably win New York, but that's it...
