I'm not worried... I'm just nervous about the fact that this drive is happening on a weekend (Sunday even) rather than a work day like November 5th did. Any thoughts?

Silly goose. We've raised $900k already today. We didn't reach that point until 9:00 AM on November 5th. People know today is the Tea Party and we CAN RAISE $10 MILLION! KEEP IT UP!

The only thing I'm nervous about is EVERYONE coming in at 1PM and 6PM and donating all at once.

A lot of the country is snowed in due to bad weather. In my opinion the conditions of December 16th couldn't get any better for donations.

No need to worry:

I'm not worried :) I'm just hoping people don't forget because they're not in front of their computers at work/home on the weekend. Not everyone is a freak like us :D I'm going to call all my friends and family in the morning to remind them.

Hopefully people have their power back, so they can be a captive audience to the televised revolution ;)

Look at the graphs for how much was raised on November 5th in an hour by hour breakdown, compared to today. Ron Paul has much more support today comparatively.

What I find interesting is that the trend is almost identical so far, there is just 50% more support or so this go round. November 5th had the same surges, and drops as different time zones became "today" only smaller in size. The shape of the graph is almost exactly the same.

I expect this trend to continue, and am betting on a ~6-7 million dollar day.

900k on a Saturday night when a lot of people go out. Not bad!

It'll be fine. We're obviously off to a great start. I'm bumping my personal prediction up to $8.5 million, after a resoundingly good head start.

The people who know about the Tea Party and plan on donating are probably the kind to check their e-mail at least once on a Sunday, especially with weather like many are having.

Besides, I bet many people couldn't donate at work because they were too busy and/or can't be caught doing personal stuff on company time. In this day and age, there are a fair share of pros to doing something like this on a weekend.

Also, don't forget to factor in the far greater media attention this has received and these last five weeks during which Dr. Paul's poll numbers have doubled.

On the 5th I believe there was an initial spike at midnight...then a lull when people were sleeping then steady donations throughout the day.

It's hard to say what will happen because of the Sunday but I think the increased support base will make up for the weekend date.

I'm expecting more than the 5th but probably not a LOT more because it's not a weekday.
