There is an age limit on donation page: "5. I am at least 18 years of age."

If you're over 16, yes. But it's illegal to do so if the kid got the money from someone solely as a gift to donate to Paul. Just ask them if they want to do it, then give them a big allowance this week ;)

I'm sixteen, I donated the last of the money I made over the summer.

Of course, I happen to be 18 when I donate.

It was previously 16, and supposedly they can still do it, according to someone who asked.

children have donated in the past, but it can be brought into question. As long as it's the child's own personal money, and not the parent donating through the child it is legal. However, different campaigns declare an age limit beforehand to minimize that exploitation. I don't know Dr. Paul's policy, but I remember him accepting a child's donation in person. The kid saved up her allowance and handed it to Dr Paul. Perhaps your best bet is to do an offline donation as long as your children understand who Ron Paul is.

Good question.

You know what, there's these Visa gift card things. You can buy them with any amount you want at Walmart, Meijer, etc. It's like a gift card that works everywhere. But, have it as a debit card and donate with that. It'll work fine and won't be under your credit card/checking account either. But, yeah, I don't know if you can donate in their name or not . . .

My dad's donating for me and my brother (small amount), and my brother said he'd go out tomorrow night and buy a $100 visa gift card if we get to $8,000,000.

This article doesn't know if it is legal or not they can figure out later. Just put it under the kids name and let them decide later max out on everyone if you can.

The donation site says 18 but I do believe the FEC allows it as long is it is their own money, and they are old enough to reasonably be able to freely chose to do it.

No donating in the name of pre-schoolers. :)

There is no minimum age FEC wise. Money must 'be the minors', can't be reimbursed, and the donation must be knowing and voluntary.

The 'Over 18' checkbox is of the campaign's choice.

I believe there is no limit on age via FEC rules.

It's also not illegal to donate in the name of the dead, apparently.

Old enough for a debit card, old enough to donate.

FEC LAW is only limiting the amount, $2300, the age limit is a campaign choice. AGAIN I REPEAT, there is no age limit.

If the minors are good working Americans, helping the coaling industry, risking their lives for us, then sure!

Can minors donate

Yes, with a caveat as follows.

The FEC modified its regulations concerning federal campaign contributions from minors in February 2005, no longer barring minors' contributions. The rule reverts back to earlier language, which says contributions from minors must be made "knowingly and voluntarily," among other points.
