I emailed HQ about this. They count as donations, but they will not count towards today's tally.

This is unsubstantiated rumor. National has always (and this includes Nov. 5) said store purchases count toward the daily total of contributions. I think it would be impossible for them to keep a charge card payment from showing up on the Dec. 16th fund raiser.

blimp this. this is NOT unsubstantiated rumor. i am telling you. i emailed HQ about this, got a reply, and they said that store purchases count as a donation, but they do not show up in real time on the ticker! they may/may not end up going in today. my guess is, with this much volume, they will not.

How about posting the email to prove it to the doubters?

Now we know that not only is it unsubstantiated, now you're saying that someone (who may or may not know what they are talking about, being a volunteer) says they may or may not show up in the days total. It would not serve the campaign any good to take in money and not report it.

Please before posting rumors, half-truths, or just plain guesses, do us a favor and get your facts straight. This post does the campaign NO favors and could actually hurt the grassroots efforts. Thanks for your 'help' in this matter.

ok. well. i can't find it, and have too much work to do. i was 'scared' out of purchasing supplies today, because of what HQ told me. may have been a volunteer, who knows. go for it, if you want. i decided to straight up donate.

It'll be added in with phone donations and reported as part of the day, just as was done on 11/5.

We need evidence of this PRONTO. HQ should make it a press release if it is true.

If true, today's fundraising total could be adversely affected by lack of this knowledge.
If false, grassroots may lose alot of valuable materials that they need if is believed to be true.

If the source of this is a troll, he's a damn sneaky one. Not necessarily saying you are.

Blump. This is important, and something HQ should rectify before the next money bomb.

Maryland coordinated to increase our supply closet and bought about $1000 of supplies today. This is not what I want to hear.

This needs to be made sticky! I have been reading tons of peoples questions regarding this and everyone is telling them that purchase will count toward the day's totals! I don't even want to think how many people have purchased items today or still intend to!!!
