Taking arms is the secondary option and is what's going to happen if Ron Paul doesn't win, we're going to have an armed revolution if he doesn't win.Bit early to be making this thread....

Bad, bad idea. I really hope you're not serious because I could not possibly disagree more.

1) Violence is only ever permissible in self-defense of an immediate threat, and even then it must be proportional. This is not even close to the case now.

2) A revolution is very unlikely to succeed without the support of the populace, and on the very slight chance it does, it would be deeply immoral.

3) Such a revolution would discredit the cause of liberty in the eyes of the most people, and would be the perfect excuse for even more of a crackdown on our civil liberties.

4) This is the kind of crap that causes people like Glenn Beck, who might agree with Ron Paul otherwise, to be suspicious of the movement and ruin an otherwise perfectly-good interview with questions about the supporters.

You can't use anti-libertarian means to achieve a libertarian end. Nothing is more ant-libertarian than using violence or threats to try to change people's political views.

If we can't take our government back with the first amendment, it is our god given right to take it back with the 2nd... I think Jefferson expressed this sentiment in the Declaration of Independence... for all you apologist... you can stay home with your doors locked(your prison within a prison). Live free, or die.

We still got a long way to go. A Democrat in the white house sure will speed up the process. But now days most of these "Republicans" are not much different either. Overall the sheeple are still asleep in this country. Wait until their being taxed to death and have to wait 6 months - 2 years to see a doctor in a government run healthcare system because it's over run by welfare babies who have stubbed toes. People will start to wake the hell up.

Coudn't agree more. There are lots more people who are going to start seeing our Federal Gov. for what it is. First their circumstances will have to get worse though. I honestly think GOP or DEM its all the same this time (except RP of course). Either way the Economic Collapse which is inevitable is going to bring this country to its knees and the government won't mean anything. Only the ability to work and produce and support yourself and protect yourself will matter.

 and to the O.P.... Seriously? they weren't already loaded?

I think i'm gonna make the 'welfare babies with stubbed toes' my signature... that is just way too true.

WTF, dude you better be kidding. Not only is it a dumb idea, but you could possibly get this site shut down with talk like that. This thread should be deleted. Its also a good way to get the feds watching you. I'm sure this site if asked by the feds would gladly give ip addresses away. There is no statement that say they do not mine IP addresses.

You obviously have No understanding of the 2nd Amendment.
The 2nd was put in place for the purpose of keeping the Government in check.
That is hasn't been been used is a large part of the reason the our Government is so out of control.
My reason for supporting Ron Paul is the hope that it can be avoided.

First of all, what you are suggesting is censorship.

Secondly, if the feds want to watch us, we cant stop them. Im not going to make babysteps because "The Man" might be listening. If they want me, they can fight to get me.

Lastly, if these forums give away the IP addresses of "domestic terrorists" (ROFL), then the owners arent Ron Paul supporters. Just another enemy.

I know the 2nd amendment. I also know its my right to have arms, and to gather. However blaintently talking about a armed revolution is not something that should be discussed on a Ron Paul website.

I NEVER heard anyone advocating violence.
I never heard anyone suggesting that we overthrow the government. Maybe you are hearing something that is not there.
Folks are talking about being prepared.
Just because I buy a Fire Extinguisher does not mean I am planing to burn my house down.
It is a tool, a preventative measure.
Many people can see the danger of an economic collapse, possible civil unrest, and even a possible civil war. They can see the danger posed by a tyrannical Government out of control.
That is why the 2nd was put in place, as a defense against such.
Being prepared is only prudent.
