Anyone know how the various credit cards charge for transaction fees? Is it a flat amount per transaction, or is it a percentage of the amount?

The financial institutions makes 2% of the purchase...

Often times they'll do like 2% + $.30/per transaction or some such combination.

The financial institutions charge a flat rate + a percentage, so it's more efficient to donate a larger $ amount. I want to give $177.60, but I've already donate a bigger figure twice on this credit card statement + tshirts and other expenses to Iowa. Although I like to stick to a budget, I may have to spring for that extra $177.60. To hell with the budget.

I have, but lucky for me, didn't win. If it makes you feel better, I pay my credit card off every month.

I have, but lucky for me, didn't win. I can't imagine someone that looks like you not winning an election. You should've used more pics :)

Perhaps $177.60 is the happy medium?

I've been lurking for a while, finally decided to sign up.

Sorry, I didn't donate $17.76 today. I instead tossed Ron a 50 donation. I was going to do multiple 17.76 donations, but didn't want to take the extra time to 'be cute'.
