This is a poll for the orginal Maxing out for the Tea Party Thread (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=53956). I couldn't add a poll after it was posted.

This is great! Thanks to all who increase their donation for this challenge!

One reason I decided to increase to $2200 is I thought about the unnecessary shtuff I'll buy in the next six months. And with this interest free card, I'll just spend more carefully for six months and just channel the savings into paying the credit card off.

While I avoid and discourage keeping a balance on credit cards, if you have one of these interest free ones, then just max it out and suck it up and live lean until you pay it off. Of course use sound judgement on what you can reallistically do. But think about the money you spend going out to eat (minimum $5) that could be replaced with a $1 sandwich you make yourself. It'll probably be healthier for you anyway. Everyone has things they can cut back on.. And this is the most important thing you can do with your money!

I agree. There are lots of reasons why people can afford to max out.
