I'm not complaining.
But it looks like some people don't know about the tea party yet.
What does that tell you?

Everyone send at least 300 emails by tonight.

$50,000. Not a big deal.

The campaign drew in a few dollars from an e-mail, I would guess those who are donating are not aware of the Tea Party and therefore would not have donated otherwise.

Hopefully, those are new donators that found about Ron during Mad Money, or maybe the NOW interview.

According to ronpaulgraphs, the average daily donor number is 1,779. Total donors today - 680.

The graph is spiking because of the email that Dr. Paul sent out a few hours ago.

I wonder, with all of these threads being posted about today's donations, is the teaparty more important to some people than Dr. Paul's campaign? Have some lost focus of what this is all about?

Headlines and free press are important- but 50,000 - 60,000 less tomorrow isn't going to make a difference in the headlines. There are a number of news stories about Nov 5 reporting the total as 4.2 million, some posting 4.3 million, and some posting more. It is clear to me, at least, that what matters to the press is the number of millions.

We're doing this for our freedom, and for the future of our children. Any money that goes to Dr. Paul's campaign is helpful for this cause. I know it is easy to rally around tomorrow, almost fervently so-- I know that I am not donating until 12:10am -- but I think we should all be happy that Dr. Paul is at least getting close to the average daily total for today.

Beating people up on these forums over donations made today isn't helpful. There is no proof that people on these forums are intentionally disregarding the teaparty. There are a number of posts made today hypothesizing that today's donations are likely from people who don't belong to these forums but are on the official campaign's email list.

You can thank Alex Jones for some of the early donations..... he's promoting the whole weekend as a fund-raiser.

guys 50,000, -15,0000 that would of gone in today without the email, means only 35,000, I dont think that would of changed the final number by that total...

Keep in mind, that includes Nov 5 so all those numbers are heavily skewed.

It's been spiking since before that.

Agreed. I started a thread this afternoon about why these are happening. I think it's the blimp and the press he's recieved in the last 24 hours.

Yeah this has less to do with the email and more to do with the original Dec 15th-16th confusion from the early days of this thing.

Some folks are working on Christmas programs or in programs tomorrow. So they are probably waiting to be as close to the date as possible. Also a lot of religious folk won't donate on a Sunday so they choose Saturday instead.

If there is roughly 100k raised today, then this should be expected because of the big day tomorrow.

If we really raise around 10 million tomorrow, then this ~100k is roughly 1% of the money that should have been donated tomorrow and for whatever reason didn't. Statistically speaking, this is not abnormal.
