The Democrats running for president (https://www.foxnews.com/category/politics/2020-presidential-election) will meet for their 11th debate later this month, but a new promise of higher qualification requirements could exclude one candidate who would have made the cut under previous rules.

Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who won one delegate in the American Samoa caucuses on Super Tuesday, met the mark set by the Democratic National Committee for the three previous debates, but DNC communications director Xochitl Hinojosa tweeted Tuesday night that they are upping the requirements going forward.

"We have two more debates — of course the threshold will go up. By the time we have the March debate, almost 2,000 delegates will be allocated," Hinojosa tweeted. "The threshold will reflect where we are in the race, as it always has."

Candidates who had at least one pledged delegate automatically qualified for the debates that took place in New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina earlier this year. Hinojosa did not elaborate on what the new requirements will be, but if Gabbard fails to secure more delegates in next week's primaries, she could be left out of the next debate in Arizona on March 15.

They'll probably keep making up one reason or another to keep this liberal progressive rsising Dem star out.

Tulsi G is probably one of the very few politicians who won Freedom Aaward but still seems to receive very low opinion from Republicans, Libertarians and even some of her own party mates. MAGA supporters also have very low opinion of her ever since she referred to him as a 'bitch', 'prostitute'. Sad.

They just want to do everything they can to keep her out of the debates.

I'd rather have her as prez than Trump.

This just goes to show you the DNC does not embrace the values they want to force on everyone else. They have culled most of the people of color, nonheteros, and most women. They want the two grumpy old men to face off at the convention, and you can bet HRC’s fingerprints are all over it.

Other than the 2008 NH debate, I'll at least give the RNC some credit for not purposely trying to engineer Dr. Paul out of debates like it seems the DNC is doing to Gabbard.

Warren is out, so unless Gabbrd stays in until the end, there you go with the two grumpy old white men. One of them believes nonsense and the other doesn’t have enough brain cells left to speak anything but nonsense.

Hinojosa did not elaborate on what the new requirements will be

I can elaborate. The requirements will always be whatever excludes candidates they don’t want, and includes candidates that they do want. Pretty simple.

That's the kind of symptoms that TDS causes.

Edit: NM thought we were discussing Warren

And they're shockingly transparent about it!

Did you miss where Trump is sending weapons to Al Qaeda linked groups in Syria?

You think Warren would be better than Trump? I'm not convinced she would even be better on issues like this one, and she's a complete socialist.

Warren wasn't mentioned. Tulsi was. You have indeed lost your marbles.

Nah, I just had multiple tabs opened when I saw that comment and thought it was in the Warren dropped out thread.

Even on the wars.

It's not Tulsi who just approved sending weapons to Al Qaeda linked groups in Syria. That was Trump. You can't get worse than that.

She voted for that before and for sending weapons to Ukraine and she attacked Trump when he was pulling us out of Syria.

She is definitely worse.

Again, Trump just approved sending weapons to Al Qaeda linked groups! Trump has sent weapons to Ukraine so you can't even use that as an argument. And was never pulling out of Syria. All he did was re-position some troops to let Turkey invade. Now it looks like that was a ruse so that he (Trump) could start World War III.

Citation for Trump being the one to approve the weapons to Syria?

But he was getting us out of Syria and she helped pressure him into not completing it.
She is worse than him on the wars and not even on the same planet as him for everything else, she's a disaster.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Friday announced new qualifying standards for the upcoming Arizona debate that will leave only the top two contenders on stage.
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (https://thehill.com/people/tulsi-gabbard) (D-Hawaii) did not meet the single qualifying factor: earning at least 20 percent of the delegates awarded as of March 15.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (https://thehill.com/people/bernie-sanders) (I-Vt.) and former Vice President Joe Biden (https://thehill.com/people/joe-biden) are the only candidates who have qualified for the debate, which will be hosted by CNN and Univision on March 15 in Phoenix.

It's the because of the "he can get away with it" amendment.

"President Trump circumvented Congress on Friday by declaring an emergency over Iran and moving forward with arms sales to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan that had been blocked by Congress since last year."

That was about 10 months. Why wouldn't he do it again? Is it because he flip flops often since he isn't grounded in policy?

It turns out it was just a deepstate rumor:

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Thursday that the United States was still assessing Turkey’s request for help in its operation in Syria’s northwestern Idlib province.

“The Turkish government has asked us for a handful of things, we are evaluating all of those requests,” Pompeo told reporters in a press briefing.
Pompeo also commented on Thursday’s meeting (https://sputniknews.com/world/202003051078479221-live-updates-putin-and-erdogan-hold-talks-on-situation-in-syrias-idlib/) between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Erdogan, saying “our requirement is that they move back to the Sochi agreement back from 2018, that they too enter into a ceasefire in the region.”
The secretary of state said the United States is attempting to determine the best way to reduce violence in Syria and stop the enormous humanitarian crisis that continues to take place.
“We had two of our senior leaders from the State Department on the ground there yesterday. I think it was… Ambassador [Kelly] Craft and Ambassador [James] Jeffrey were both there working to see how we can bring American and European resources to better mitigate this humanitarian crisis on the ground in Idlib and then the southern parts of Turkey.”
On Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Ankara had asked Washington for help with ammunition (https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/202003041078472386-erdogan-says-he-has-asked-trump-to-supply-turkey-with-munitions-for-idlib-op/) amid Turkey’s operation in Syria’s Idlib. US ambassador to Turkey David Satterfield told reporters that the United States was considering providing Patriot air defense systems to Turkey.

Trump HAS NOT approved it yet.

Trump is getting us out, he doesn't want to stay involved.

I'd rather have her as prez than Trump.

She is a progressive and has very liberal stances on gun control, big gummit spending/debt, abortion, gay marriage, DACA, bathrooms , domestic socialism, global socialism/foreign aid to parasitic states abroad among other issues.
She might even be a nothing-burger (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?539315-Tulsi-slams-Trump-as-Saudi-b-We-are-not-your-prostitutes-You-are-not-our-pimp&p=6904583&viewfull=1#post6904583) (allegedly).
