Huckabee Sees WH 'Bunker Mentality'
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Mike Huckabee, who has joked about his lack of foreign policy experience, is criticizing the Bush administration's efforts, denouncing a go-it-alone "arrogant bunker mentality" and questioning decisions on Iraq.

Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor now running for the Republican presidential nomination, lays out a policy plan that is long on optimism but short on details in the January-February issue of the journal Foreign Affairs, which is published by the Council on Foreign Relations. A copy of his article was released Friday.

And apparently he wants to make himself to be semi-pro-war, semi-anti-war.

Yup, he got their endorsement after his speech to them in September. You'll notice an overnight shift in how the media treats him after that speech. Remember his bath of razorblade statement? He goes from being told to quit, to "rising star". Nothing on his campaign side changes though. He had less than $1 mil in the bank, and was on his last leg trying to stay in to earn a vp spot. His grassroots at the time were nearly non-existant. Yet after the CFR gave him their bump... poof his "poll" numbers start climbing. Though you'll notice his money and supporter numbers are just now starting to pick up. ITS UTTER BULL SHIT what the media is trying to pull.

I had stop reading that about 3 paragraphs into it.

In one paragraph he says you need to "know what makes terrorists tick" and "know your enemy." His explanation is that they are inherently evil and they want to replace our bright civilization with their medieval one.

In the next paragraph he mentions that right now are choice in either radical states or oppresive ones such as the Saudis which " We support by buying oil and by giving foreign aid".

I stopped right there. He seems unable to connect the two. He just called the regime oppresive, said we support it, but doesn't link our support to terrorism despite the fact that BIN LADEN HAS EXPLICITLY SAID THAT WAS ONE OF THE MAIN 3 REASONS!

Are people really going to believe this crap?

And why is the CFR pushing Huckabee all of the sudden? My guess is that they want another tool such as Bush who is completely ignorant of the world around him in office. Such that they can influence him and bend him to their influence as they do with Bush now, they want to be whispering suggestions into his left ear during his office. I wouldn't be surprised to have another Cheney like VP with Huckabee, another man behind the scenes running the show.
