The amount of money that is contributed for the Tea Party will deliver a message to the voters, but the number of contributors can add an additional bump to that message.

What I am getting at is that if you can only give a small amount then go for it! The number of contributors is part of the equation......The more the merrier.

Dollars have been the main focus, but numbers should be focused on also.

It would be great to see 100,000 plus contributors.

+1

I've been encouraging my friends to just donate 5 dollars so that a new donor will be counted. Of course, I hope they will donate more but asking for $5 instead of $100 at least keeps them from not even visiting the website. While for a Ron Paul supporter $100 is not a large amount, for the average apathetic American that has never donated to a politician it is alot to ask at first. While $5 is a cheap way to say you were part of something big.

I just turned 1 person yesterday and another today. They will both donate on 16th. So thats +2 in just a couple of days.

I agree.

It's better to have 5 people donate $20 each than 1 person donate $100.

One thing that a lot of people forget is that you and your spouse can donate separately. You can each donate up to $2,300 (including any previous donations of course). If you're only donating $20 on Sunday, split it between you and your spouse.

I will see if I can't get my cheap boyfriend to donate at least $5 on the tea party.

I know this guy who is dealing with enormous bills from having a family member being nursed at home after an accident. I knew he had already put in $200, so I made sure to tell him he could donate as little as five or ten bucks-- he was so happy to feel he could still participate despite this disaster in his household.

I'm donating 5 dollars. I'm 14 and don't have anything, borrowing 5 dollars from my Mom seems like the right thing to do without a job.

Well done!

Ask your mom if you can pay her back by mowing the lawn or washing her car.

Paul would be proud. :)
