They just teased it.

'bout time!!

You beat me to it! I just saw it too. I actually liked what Beck said about global warming before that though. Just a side note.

12-14-2007, 03:40 PM
Yea...and about global taxes.

Not sure what you're expecting. I'm really excited about the blimp, but The Situation Room has always provided horrible coverage of Ron Paul.

I'm not going to be able to watch it, but let me know how many times Wolf says isolationist, "he ran as a libertarian in 1988", fringe/dark horse/maverick candidate, "low in the polls", "internet sensation", or any 3rd party running question.

I guess some news is better than no news.

Please U-Tube it.

Ugh, they probably won't say much about it.

"Inflation is sort of like a hidden tax." - Wolf Blitzer

Hrm... think I've heard that somewhere recently?

Ugh... farm subsidy supporters hurt my brain.

gagnonstudio
12-14-2007, 03:44 PM
Anyone notice the segment they just did about inflation? About how its really higher than what they tell you, and Wolf Blitzer says "it's almost like a hidden tax."

Where have I heard that before? Who was the only one talking about this for months? I can't remember.... I think it might have been Ron Paul.

DaneKirk
12-14-2007, 03:44 PM
When they were talking about inflation and they said it was like an extra tax, it made me think of Ron Paul. It would have been a perfect way to start talking about the blimp.

Forefall
12-14-2007, 03:44 PM
I guess they're gonna ignore it..?

On the inflation tax, when Wolf said that I thought to myself "he's channeling Ron Paul."

wealeat
12-14-2007, 03:46 PM
I noticed that as well, hopefully they cover the blimp soon.

BTW, I think that the Situation Room gives us pretty good coverage compared to any other.

This segment is all about Mike Huckabee. I haven't heard them mention Giuliani at all... I think Giuliani is done for, thank god. We need to shift momentum fast, Iowa and NH are slowly approaching. The 16th can do it.

I agree, it is not the best but better than nothing. I am glad I stayed up to watch this, I am in Turkey and it is almost midnight! I always hope that they will talk about Ron.

alsis8xmy
12-14-2007, 03:59 PM
Not a bad spot, but they drastically underestimated the tea party. They said ~5mil. Wow, we are really going to ring their bell on Sunday!

Giving the tea party some press along with the blimp. Nice.

I liked Cafferty's attitude towards the coffee segment.

Matthew Zak
12-14-2007, 04:00 PM
That was excellent. Perfect little nugget of positivity that a new viewer may have seen.

DaneKirk
12-14-2007, 04:00 PM
I thought it would be more than 30 sec. After all it is the first blimp a presidential candidate has ever had. But yes at least they mentioned the Tea Party.

FireofLiberty
12-14-2007, 04:01 PM
LOL @ Cafferty! "That stuff about the coffee... fascinating stuff."

Wolf: How do you take your coffee?

Yup, they showed the Youtube video of it taking off. She mentioned the Tea Party may bring in excess of $5 million, and that RP is having a hard time figuring out what to do with the money, and that he has 90 paid staffers as opposed to 3 a few months ago. They also showed part of a Tea Party Youtube video.

I might get crap for saying this but I think Huck is likable, but I would not vote for him because I think he would get flogged in the general election.

Baby?

Whatever dude.

I'm just saying, it's a CLASSIC tactic for a relatively new person to come in and say something, but try to couch it in non threatening language, so people look 'mean' if they challenge it.

For a Ron Paul supporter, there's really NOTHING likable about Tax Hike Mike pHuckleberry.

I'm sorry that that reality doesn't sit well with you.
