Well that will only indicate more strength in some states because a lot of states like SC are not very affected by independants or party changing or other things like that.

Well I know in Parkersburg, WV that the county clerk said "a lot" of people are switching from Dem to Rep. Who knows what that means though as far as real numbers.

I'm going in person to my local county elections office to switch and I will ask. I'm in Florida so it will be interesting to see what the response will be. I'll try and muscle some hard numbers out of the people at the elections offfice...lol.
