View Full Version : Maxing Out For the Tea Party: A Challenge

thumbto
12-14-2007, 02:35 PM
I agree that we need to fire all our guns all at once, right now. I was going to give $100 but have decided to give the maximum on the 16th.. $2200 (I have already given $100). For an increase of 22X.

I will charge a credit card with no interest until summer.. By then, 2200 USD will be worth, what $1800? Inflation + Tea Party + Early Donation (now, rather than later) = most bang for the buck.

The challenge: will you also max out on the 16th? (If you haven't already?)

All in...

****** Addition: I wish I would have made this a poll. I couldn't add one, but I posted one here: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=54855

Yeah, when you donate, basically think: how much money would you pay to buy a Ron Paul presidency? If someone said, give me $2000 and Ron Paul will be president... would you do it? If so, you should donate that amount on the tea party. If everyone did that, his numbers would be astronomical, and we will win, and you will have bought a Ron Paul presidency.

Just watched Zeitgeist. I am still processing. This has been a little by little thing for me. I hate so much of what is going on in the world today.
I have felt for a long time like I am screaming at the top of my lungs and no sound is coming out. Social security- I want out! This is the real first step. I want to get 'off the grid'. Is this possible now? OK- this is a positive thread.
I am in for at least $500. I am not even sure how much I have put in- I need to do some math.

Feeling right now like we HAVE to win. Also feeling a little alone- Paulians- reassure me- hold me? ;)

Doubled it for my wife to $200.

Then committed to doubling that to $400.

Put out $1400 for the Tea Party event in Boston.

$4600 is maxed out for both my wife and I.

I may hit that mark, but whatever it is, it'll be more than $400.

Ask yourself, what's more worthwhile: more worthless Chinese baubles under a Christmas tree, or a downpayment on liberty for you and your children's children?

I'm convinced that, should we fail, looking back at the momentary pain of limbering up your wallet and relieving yourself of a few federal reserve notes will be looked upon with nostalgia at how easy this struggle may have been.

Just for the primaries. When he gets the Republican nomination, each person can donate $2300 again to the general election campaign.

Now there's a great nugget of info right there. I was just wondering while reading this thread how we were going to keep raising these funds if everyone was going to max out right off the bat.

...Course there's always new folks that can donate, but I was gonna ask what the backup plan was going to be if everyone maxs out.

URGENT Change needed! RonPaul2008.com. Please call HQ.
Guys,
It's just hit me that something is different about the Ronpaul2008.com site than on Nov 5th. Based on my marketing radar going off the richter scale I know it's not trivial, else I wouldn't post.
On Nov 5th the "widget money counter" was the ONLY focus on that area of the site.
Updating on every refresh and auto every minute or so.
That's NOT the situation now and it needs to be as the "widget money counter" sets up a fascinating (for the viewer) "internet high.." as the total mounts.
As of 5 minutes ago, if you are on the RonPaul2008.com site, the "widget money counter" is shut down by other screens loading.
So, PROBLEM: "Widget money counter is now NOT a single point of focus on the home page"
SOLUTION: Change the set up of home page back to a duplicate or similar of NOV 5TH...in other words "make it all about the money, all the time, until say Tuesday or Wednesday of next week..

So, Please call HQ or whoever is in charge of the mainsite and get these suggestions over to them.
There is no time on this one. Please assist if you agree with my analysis. I wouldn't have posted to waste anyones time, I believe this is an important distinction...
Please advise.
Thanks.
Shaun.

I'm not even close to maxing out, but I just can't afford to. Money is too tight. But I'll be giving 100 on the 16th. I have converted a couple people this week though (showing them the video on legalizing weed did the trick).

I find the passive approach works better for me. Instead of trying to straight up convince people I will just put on a youtube video that I think caters to their interests. Then they are like "who is this" and I just respond "what, you have not heard of the best candidate for president, get on the ball and google ron paul, unless that is you are happy with the way things are in this country". that usually does the trick. seems like when I try and convince them straight up they get extremely defensive.

That is fantastic!

Is anyone else here going to be MAXING OUT or increasing the size of their donation?

Peter Schiff, CEO of EuroPacific Capital, sent all his clients an email endorsing Ron Paul. In the email, he said that $2300 may seem like a lot of money; but it isn't. And if Ron Paul isn't our next president, within a few years, $2300 will be a lot less than it is even now. I was inspired by Peter Schiff's message, so now another $40 will max me out. That's why I didn't subscribe on the Tea Party web site--I'm not allowed to give another $100. Believe me, there are many people out there who did not subscribe who will be donating something.

This is great!

I wish I would have made this thread a poll. I couldn't add one but I started one here:

At the last minute did you decide to increase your Tea Party donation?

I already maxed out.
I'm sticking with $100.
I increased a little.
I doubled my contribution.
I more than doubled my contribution.
I'm Maxing Out!

I had to figure out how much I gave already. So instead of $200 tomorrow, this thread is compelling me to almost max out with a $1000. I'm starting to think we might hit $10 million.

This is going to be incredible!
