Americans for Tax Reform is another one these supposed anti-tax, pro-freedom libertarian/conservative organization. However, look at their congressional ratings of the Presidential candidates; http://www.atr.org/national/ratings/2008candidateratings.html. Ron Paul comes in 4thor 5th (depending on whether Gingrich is included) behind Brownback, Gingrich, Hunter and McCain. Interestingly, Hagel gets a high score but he is persona non grata in neocon circles because he is somewhat anti-war.
It seems like their choice of votes is skewed to support the so-called "Republican Revolution" types. According to Wikipedia, its leader, Grover Norquist co-authored the 1994 Contract with America. The Contract with America was a complete fraud. It didn't propose any real reduction in government. It some areas it actually expanded government.
Correction: Ron Paul comes in dead last in their ratings. I didn't realize it but they didn't list candidate by ranking. Both Fred Thomson and Tom Tancredo also score higher.
