FEC nears shut down, no quorum

Looks like the president and senate haven't been putting people in place to allow the FEC to function. I know there is plenty of government waste, but securing the federal elections shouldn't be one of the places we outright close down without a plan. Can the states even legally take over this function?

They have been nothing but bootlickers for the Demoncrats and the deepstate anyway, the Senate probably wouldn't approve anyone honest so we are better off with them shut down.
