Good idea.

I initially intended to give $100 like I did on November 5th. Then with the realization that the entire MEDIA has mentioned this fundraising day and they will definitely be watching to see if we hit $10million, we now have set the bar higher.

If we miss the $10million they'll try and call it a fizzled effort or teaparty was just "full of hot air" etc. When we hit it, the media will be stunned and everyone will want to Talk to Ron Paul.

I decided to double my donation to $200.

Now I also realize this may be the last BIG money bomb before Iowa and NH, so THIS IS IT! No holding back!

THERE IS NO TOMORROW!

I'm tripling my donation to $300!!!!

Heck yes!

I think alot of people are doubling or tripling their donations as well. I know I will TRIPLE my donation!!!!!

I'm going to try to do $300, and it's going to hurt... but opportunity like this doesn't come very often, if ever again. Stretch yourself as far as you can, $10 million is doable!

Yes. It's going to hurt. But we have to do it. Ron Paul's donations have become a slow crawl, with everyone holding back for today. We have to make it all worth it!

Good thread but needs a poll.

This has the potential to be the best week for the campaign to date.

Breaking into double digits in the polls - the PBS special - the informercial being made - the blimp - the tea party - an hour on Glenn Beck [who I hate, but rain or shine it will draw notice] - taking on Huckabee in Iowa - it's getting hot out there, even though it's December.

Since I'm only 17, I was originally going to give $50 but since I won't have any expenses for another few years, I'm going to give $200 probably. Who cares? My dad can give me money for Christmas shopping.

Donated $200 on the 5th. Donating $500 this time. If you don't have the cash, bust out the plastic. This is probably our best shot to propel Dr. Paul into the limelight (except for after he wins NH) and we can't hold back. We have to go absolutely nuts.

Triple the donation yes. Give it all as a donation, no. Instead use a third of it to order a couple thousand slimjims and some Ron Paul stuff from the store since the profits there also go to the campaign. Get out and hand the slim jims out and interact with others. If you interact with 100 people and 10 become supporters and of that 10 then one becomes a dedicated supporter who does what you did, you have just created a chain reaction. You don't have to personally visit 10,000 people, just change a few and a few of those will take to spreading the message as well.

Unfortunately I can't give the $100 I intended.

Bank of America screwed me out of over $100 in overdraft fees because my rent check was charged unusually early this month....

I'll give $20 though.

I'm maxed out but I got my father to give $1,000 on the 5th and he says he will give $500 this time (tried to get him to max out, but no-go) and my brother-in-law promised $100 for the 16th, but I'm pushing him for $250.

My next-door neighbor is an RP supporter who says he will give $100, but I'm knocking on his door Sunday and pleading for more.

Unfortunately, my mother and sister are Hillary Dems with no hope, but even though I'm maxed out I should be able to get $750 or so in from 3 donors.

I encourage everybody to give as much as you can above $100, but within reason of not bankrupting yourself. If you can't afford $100, don't let that stop you from giving $10 or $25 or whatever. Numbers of donors will be important to, and everything adds up.

Also, hit up friends and family. If we hit $10 million going into Glenn Beck Tuesday, there is no way Beck can't give RP huge respect for that, and this all will be ALL over the MSM.

The 5th felt real good. Sunday will be beyond awesome!

After november 5th, I had planned to give another $100 for the teaparty, but recently decided to double it to $200. Seeing this now... I think I'll bite the bullet and put in a full 300. Once in a lifetime opportunity right?

$300 is tough to swallow, especially here at the holidays, what what the hell. Ron Paul will win this thing!

I gave $500 on the 5th so I could get into the private briefing before the Philly rally. I was going to just give $100, then I thought, I'll make it $200, now I'm thinking what's another $100.

$300 will be worth it when I don't have to pay income tax again.

If needed, I might throw in another $50 or so by the end of the day.

Yes! this is the spirit. I've always looked up to those who give the maximum as the rich. That was a lie I told myself to rationalize the fact that I had only given $500. Now its finally dawning on me that I must become one of those who gave the fullest extent possible. I don't make much money, and I have huge wedding bill coming in March. However, I don't care. Debt is nothing. Just think of the men who actually died for Liberty. Then think about how lame we are that we squable over a freaking month's wages.

Let it not be said that while our country was dying, that I just sat there and did nothing.

If you had planned on maxing out (or had not planned on it), do it now. There is no other money bomb that could ever matter as much as this one will. Sure when he wins, there will be others, but we need this now to ensure we get the proper shock value. This will shift the coverage from Huckabee to our Hero. This will turn our donations from fiat bills to soild bars for fine GOLD.

I'll be giving $300! :)

TELL YOUR FRIENDS! Try to get the ones who weren't going to give that they should give $20. Try to get the ones who plan to give to at least double!

As we have seen, word of mouth is VERY powerful. That is how most of us have even heard of Ron Paul in the first place. TELL YOUR FRIENDS that you are giving so they see you are serious! Then ask if they want to join you by giving some too. This Sunday will truly be a day to remember!

I am putting in $500 at midnite and $500 tomorrow night. My friends are all asking about the Tea Party so I wrote an inspired e-mail and sent to all the lists I am a member of as another way of introducing people to Ron Paul.

So while we all sit here waiting for midnight - -- please consider writing all your friends an inspiring e-mail.

Brian

Here's what I wrote:

The Boston Tea Party of December 16th, 1773 was a turning point in the history of the United States, and is known throughout the world as one of the most important symbolic gestures for freedom from tyranny. December 16th, 2007 is predicted to be a record one day fund raising day for a Presidential Candidate in the history of the Republican Party, and maybe in US political history.

Why should we care? I believe this remarkable event has come about because there is a massive collective groundswell in the United States to support three things. Truth, Freedom and Peace.

It is time for a REAL change in the United States. I believe we are witnessing history here, two prime time shows last night helped me arrive at this conclusion:

The first was an incredible interview on CNBC's "Mad Money" show which the host was blasting the Federal Reserve and HEAPING praise on Ron Paul for bringing monetary policy to the forefront of the debates.... I was in shock, just amazed that CNBC would permit such an anti-establishment viewpoint and I can only attribute it to rising global awareness of the great damage to the dollar and the US economy of giving the Federal Reserve "a license to print money" carte blanche and be totally unaccountable to Congress.
Please watch this YouTube: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7610971260219875134

The second was the half hour PBS “Now” show, “The Ron Paul Phenomenon”. It’s excellent. I loved to see the interviewers jaw drop when interviews Trevor Lyman about how he raised $4.2 million. See it online at:
http://www.pbs.org/now/shows/350/index.html

Please consider supporting a historic event tomorrow by donating to the Boston Tea Party. Since fundraising seems to be a main criterion to be taken seriously by the media we need to keep the momentum going. Donate whatever you can, starting 11pm tonight and see that thermometer go off the charts!
