People from muslim countries have to get authorization to visit even for 1 day, she coming from Sweden doesn't. So unless Trump is willing to cancel the whole program for everyone, then he probably cannot do anything about it. Greta Thunberg: Caroline Lucas reports Arron Banks to Twitter

Green Party MP Caroline Lucas has complained to Twitter over a tweet by Brexit campaigner Arron Banks aimed at climate change activist Greta Thunberg.

On Wednesday, Mr Banks referred to Ms Thunberg's sea voyage across the Atlantic and tweeted: "Freak yachting accidents do happen in August..."

Ms Thunberg, who chooses not to fly, is sailing from the UK to attend UN climate summits in New York and Chile.

Ms Lucas said she reported his comment, while Mr Banks said it was a joke.

"Arron Banks' vile tweet about @GretaThunberg makes me sick to the stomach," Ms Lucas wrote on Twitter on Thursday morning.

"I have made a formal complaint to Twitter."

Ms Thunberg set sail from Plymouth on Wednesday at the start of her two-week journey to New York and Chile.

The 16-year-old refuses to travel by air because of its environmental impact, so has chosen a carbon-neutral racing yacht.

Shortly after she departed, Mr Banks, an insurance tycoon who founded Leave.EU, shared a tweet from Ms Lucas that wished Ms Thunberg "bon voyage".

His tweet faced widespread criticism, with Mr Banks later responding, saying it was "a joke" and accusing his critics of having "no sense of humour".

Mr Banks later added: "Obviously I don't hope she encounters a freak yachting accident!

"I just enjoy watching the ludicrous tweeter mob following the next outrage."

Among those who condemned his post was actress Amanda Abbington, who tweeted: "You're wishing a potentially fatal accident onto a sixteen year old girl, why..?"

Others called his tweet "disgraceful" while Labour MP Paula Sherriff said he was "utterly vile".

According to Twitter, anybody can report an individual tweet or profile for certain violations, including: spam, abusive or harmful content, inappropriate ads, self-harm and impersonation.

Fans gathered to wave Ms Thunberg off on her voyage across the Atlantic.

The second link is excellent (part 3 of 6) but the whole series is worth a read. The author really did a great job putting it all together. TLDR version: capitalism for global 1% remains intact, abject socialism for everyone else, redirecting pensions and all the captured/locked money in the current system paradigm into a new global climate based economy where consumption is strictly controlled, unless you're in that 1%, of course. They just have to manufacture everyone's consent to carry it out, via tools like Greta. Recommended reading for sure. People really need to start understanding that if someone shows up in front of a spotlight for mass consumption, it is planned and manufactured and there's many layers of an onion to peel away behind it. Appearing on Capitol Hill for the second straight day Wednesday, Swedish teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg told U.S. lawmakers she did not want them to listen to her.

It's the same ol' banks and megacorps funding and directing the green initiative that are propping up the organizations that directly prop up Thunberg. Ingmar Rentzhog, founder of the social media platform We Have No Time, happened to be passing. Inspired, Rentzhog posted Greta’s photograph on his personal Facebook page. By late afternoon, the newspaper Dagens Nyheter had Greta’s story and face on its website. The rest is viral.

But this isn’t the full story. In emails, media entrepeneur Rentzhog told me that he “met Greta for the first time” at the parliament, and that he “did not know Greta or Greta’s parents” before then. Yet in the same emails, Rentzhog admitted to meeting Greta’s mother Malena Ernman “3-4 months before everything started”—in early May 2018, when he and Malena had shared a stage at a conference called the Climate Parliament. Nor did Rentzhog stumble on Greta’s protest by accident. He now admits to having been informed “the week before” by “a mailing list from a climate activist” named Bo Thorén, leader of the Fossil Free Dalsland group.

Independent journalist Rebecca Weidmo Uvell has obtained an earlier email from Bo Thorén’s search for fresh green faces. In February 2018, Thorén invited a group of environmental activists, academics and politicians to plan “how we can involve and get help from young people to increase the pace of the transition to a sustainable society”. In May, after Greta won second prize in an environmental op-ed writing competition run by the newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, Thorén approached all the competition winners with a plan for a “school strike”, modelled on the student walk-outs after the shootings at Parkland, Florida. “But no one was interested,” Greta’s mother claims, “so Greta decided to do it for herself.”

Fortunately, Greta’s decision coincided with the publication of Scenes from the Heart, Svante and Malena’s memoir of how saving the planet had saved their family. Unfortunately, Malena omitted to tell her publisher that Ingmar Rentzhog had commandeered Greta’s stunt.

"These kids have ideas and they are passionate, so we must listen to them," said Sen. Brian Schatz of Hawaii. "There are no possible downsides to taking kids who have been told the world is ending by the public school system and allowing them to dictate national policies on important issues."

The kids came up with the following list so far, though they say they're "just spitballing" and the ideas need some fleshing out:
