My wife and I are upset that we can't go seeing as it's just up the road from us. It's our daughter's b-day bash that we'd planned several weeks ago. :(

Have desert for me OK.

How much do you think he's going to raise? Does anyone have an estimate?

Dr. Paul will also be in Austin tonight. The organizer said that as of this morning they have sold 576 tickets at $100/ticket!! He said that he has sold more since the debate than in the previous three weeks!
I will be there. Hope to see some of my fellow Texans tonight!

Just back from the Brenham fundraiser.

FABULOUS speech, y'all.

Dr. Paul spent quite a lot of time talking to everyone beforehand, answering questions and the like.

He took questions at the end of his speech, too.

AND, before he left, he spent EVEN MORE time talking with everyone.

Not as in walking down a preformed line and shaking hands, just standing around chatting about whatever was brought up.

There was one person who asked a question and identified himself as a Democrat, told Dr. Paul that he started checking him out I think he said after the second debate, and he said he really had liked what he heard in the speech today.

Dr. Paul spoke about how the freedom message is one that has the ability to draw us all together: there are democrats that can embrace it, independents that can embrace it, and some republicans that can embrace it.

It was really nice IMO because it was a small group - maybe 100 of us there?

I told him I thought he did great in the debates, he said, oh, I don't think I did so good in the second one, or at least I thought so at first, but about an hour afterwards, I realized that it was okay.

(I didn't tell him this but IMO, his refusal to back down from his beliefs - when under IMMENSE PRESSURE to do so, and the way he maintained himself as a GENTLEMAN in light of the attacks - right down to his comment to that vile Hannity person about how he'd be DELIGHTED to debate Benito Giuliana - were "PERFECT PAUL." And america is loving it.)

:)

Someone videotaped it so we may get some youtube moments out of it, I sure hope so!

I'm so jealous. There's no reason for Dr Paul to come to Minnesota. We don't even HAVE a primary. The state party picks the national delegates.

I'll have to find out when he's going to Iowa and zoom down there. I'd love to meet this man.

MN never plays a role in the Presidential nomination. If something weird happens where two candidates run neck and neck the whole way through the primaries, we could potentially play a role in the convention. But candidates haven't been actually picked at the convention since Goldwater. Ah, Goldwater . . . just typing his name . . . Ahem, forgive me. I drifted off for a moment.:D

Actually, Ford was chosen at the convention over Reagan in 1976. But are you sure that we in Minnesota don't have a primary? I googled it and found that we have one on March 4 (though I think I heard the legislature is thinking of moving it up). I've never voted in a primary before (too young) so I wouldn't know.

I got to meet Dr. Paul today, what an honor. He did speak so well of the message of freedom. The energy of the people there was amazing.

Good to meet you MsDoodahs. I hope the campaign releases that video, it was great and he provides some commentary on the debates.

It was great to meet y'all, too.

Josh, do you know the fellow who had the camera set up right in front?

I sure don't. I meant to ask him if he would have it made available anywhere.

By the way it was great meeting you!

But are you sure that we in Minnesota don't have a primary? I googled it and found that we have one on March 4 .

March 4 would be our precinct caucuses. To clarify, when I say the state GOP selects the delegates to the national convention, it is nominally democratic. You have to get elected from the caucuses, go on the the senate district convention and vote on delegates there who go on the the Congressional and state conventions where the national delegates are elected. But you have to be in with the in-in crowd to get elected. Say the words "Ron Paul" and you can be sure you would not get elected. I used to be in. Pretty sure I've outed myself.

Excellent pictures, Josh!
