View Full Version : The importance of donating to the tea party before you go to bed

I would recommend that everyone who knows they're contributing on the
16th do it if at all possible before they go to bed. Fence sitters who
support RP but at the same time don't want to waste their money on a
lost cause will be encouraged if they wake up and see a ton of
money already donated.

I was one of those fence sitters before the 5th. I've been a HUGE
supporter of RP since at least 2000, but at the same time I was luke
warm on his presidential campaign. I gave him the same chances as
Kucinich for garnering meaningful support, given how apathetic people
appeared to be to all the crap unfolding in front of them.

The 5th changed all that. It proved to me that a lot of people care
and that RP can summon a potentially critical mass of support. I
monitored progress all day, and finally decided to risk my money in the
late afternoon. And I've been pretty active volunteering my time since.

I believe there are an ENORMOUS number of fence sitters - RP
supporters waiting to see if enough people join the cause to risk
their own money. Waking up to a few million dollars already in the
bank might encourage these people to donate early in the morning,
initiating a domino effect throughout the day.

That's great, just make sure you don't go to bed until AFTER MIDNIGHT.

I like the informal time zone competition that we did on the 5th! Kept a LOT of us most of the night to see when zone was going to donate the most in the first hour past midnight in each time-zone and was tons of fun. Plus, it gave us something to talk about to help keep us alert and awake!

Go to bed at 12:30 AM

Yes. Donate just after midnight. We want the world to wake up to $1,000,000 already raised so they can then send out emails to friends who are fence-sitters and convince them to become part of history. Momentum is everything and you will get more for your money by donating earlier.

Yep, this is very important. Do it right after midnight.

How is the average donor going to know how much has been raised thus far, when they wake up in the morning? I doubt they're taking note of the present fund level.

The importance of donating to the tea party before you go to bed

Of little importance. In fact better to wait until tomorrow. Everyone would regret it if the server crashed tonight with 10,000 or 20,000 people on it at once.

Wait until tomorrow.

I'm on the West Coast and plan on donating around 2:00am EST, figure the opening blitz will have slowed a bit and I would like to see a big donation total when I check in morning.

To Paul.Bearer.of.Injustice: Google Ron Paul Donation Graph. It's loaded with information, including the minute-by-minute daily total.

Don't donate at exactly midnight. Would hate not have some money counted cause someone didn't have accurate time on their clocks -.-

The Ron Paul campaign will be featured on the CBS EVENING NEWS tomorrow at 6:30 ET! Please donate before then if you can so that we can SHOCK THE WORLD! Just think, if Ron Paul can announce on that show to a NATIONAL AUDIENCE that he has already hit $20 million for the quarter and over $8 million in 24 HOURS!

Same here in a way--I wasn't paying too much attention to the campaigns at all, noticed Ron Paul though and knew I agreed almost entirely with him, but also thought his chances were slim to none of actually getting noticed by the general population. Didn't like ANY of the other Republicans, despite being a lifelong Republican, and decided Obama would be my second choice as a "protest vote" against the Republican establishment currently (didn't know much about him, just knew that he WAS--before recent times--outside the establishment and a plain talker, at least).

Then around mid-November, I caught a Youtube video about the 5th, and was blown away. Been here, been reading heavily about Ron Paul, attending the Meetup in Korea, etc., ever since. :)
