“It’s terrible what she said and I think she should either resign from Congress, or she should certainly resign from the House Foreign Affairs Committee,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday. “What she said is so deep-seated in her heart that her lame apology, and that’s what it was, it was lame and she didn’t mean a word of it, was just not appropriate. I think she should resign from Congress.”
Omar, in her first term in the Congress, said Sunday on Twitter that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee pays lawmakers to be pro-Israel. After condemnations from Republicans and Democrats, including the Democratic leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives, she said she “unequivocally” apologized after speaking with “Jewish allies and colleagues who are educating me on the painful history of anti-Semitic tropes.”

In four intensely reported investigative columns — here (August 13, 2018), here (October 23, 2018), here (October 30, 2018), and here (November 5, 2018), — David Steinberg has explored the evidence suggesting that Ilhan Omar entered into a sham marriage with her brother in 2009. This is his fifth. He titles it “Meet Leila Elmi: The Missing Link Showing Ilhan Omar Married Her Brother.” Drawing on his research, interviews, and social media evidence he makes the case that Omar has engaged in a variety of fraudulent activities and willful misrepresentations related to her marital arrangements. He writes:

On October 22, 2008, the U.S. State Department stopped accepting applications for the Priority 3/Refugee Family Reunification program — the process by which refugees can apply for asylum if one family member is already a legal U.S. resident. State halted the program because DNA testing — primarily of Somalis — had concluded that perhaps 87 percent of applicants were fraudulently claiming family relationships.

Despite continuing war, Somalia of 2008 was not comparable to the open hell of the early 1990s, when an eight-year-old Ilhan and her family fled to Kenya’s Dadaab refugee camps. She lived there from 1991 until 1995, aged eight to 12. Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services then helped Ilhan, her sister Sahra, and their father Nur Said receive asylum in the United States along with thousands of other Somalis.

The complicated moral question of fraud, let alone fault, among this 1990s wave of refugees escaping civil war will never be answered with accurate statistics. We will have to settle for adjectives like “widespread” and “rampant.” Yet the negative outcomes cannot be ignored. Even refugees with strong desire to assimilate with Western civic order are hampered by the possible discovery of conflicting documents. And compromising information becomes leverage in a community already difficult to police.

Twelve-year-old Ilhan had no say on the manner in which she arrived in the United States.

However, U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Abdullahi Omar (D-MN) is now under scrutiny for acts she took beginning in 2009 — not 1995. In 2009, Omar was a 26-year-old U.S. citizen. She had been a U.S. citizen for nearly nine years.

Additionally, the foreign national Omar apparently helped commit fraud was not fleeing hell in 2009, either. Ahmed Nur Said Elmi was a long-time citizen of the United Kingdom. He even possessed a high school diploma from the United States: Elmi attended a St. Paul, Minnesota high school for his senior year of 2002-2003, and graduated before returning to London.

A bombshell report released Thursday claims that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN-05) entered the country fraudulently in 1995 as a member of the “Omar” family, which allegedly isn’t her real family.

The article was published Thursday at Powerline by David Steinberg, formerly an editor of PJ Media who has written extensively on Omar over the past three years.

In his article, Steinberg claims:


“In 1995, Ilhan entered the United States as a fraudulent member of the ‘Omar’ family. That is not her family. The Omar family is a second, unrelated family which was being granted asylum by the United States. The Omars allowed Ilhan, her genetic sister Sahra, and her genetic father Nur Said to use false names to apply for asylum as members of the Omar family.”

He goes on to claim that Omar’s real name, before applying for asylum, was Ilhan Nur Said Elmi. The family split up in 1995 when three of her siblings were granted asylum by the United Kingdom, including Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, whom Omar allegedly married in 2009 and divorced in 2017. As The Minnesota Sun has previously reported, this alleged marriage to her brother occurred at a time of massive immigration fraud.

Steinberg cites as his sources multiple members of the “Minneapolis Somali community,” who claim that Omar was born as Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, as well as marriage records, address records, court documents, and online communications that he provides pictures of in his article.

He concludes the article by declaring that law enforcement has enough information to “open an investigation.”

“I believe Scott Johnson, Preya Samsundar, and me, with our three years of articles, columns, and posts, have provided more than enough evidence to give law enforcement authorities probable cause to open an investigation,” he writes.

The Minnesota Sun reached out to Omar’s office for comment on the allegations, but didn’t receive a response.

“We do not share the personal information of refugees, due to privacy considerations,” a State Department spokesperson told The Minnesota Sun in response to a request for confirmation of the information in the article.

When pressed by reporters, Trump refused to repeat his criticism of the chant from Thursday, and instead criticized Ilhan Omar - the object of the chant.


"Those are incredible people, those are incredible patriots," Trump said.
In reference to Omar, he said: "She’s lucky to be where she is, let me tell you. And the things that she has said are a disgrace to our country."
Later in the afternoon, during a brief huddle with reporters to address Iran's seizure of two British tankers, Trump criticized her again for introducing a bill supporting the BDS movement directed at Israel.
"They can't go around saying that our country is 'garbage'," Trump said, referring to Omar and her fellow "Squad" members. "When they do that, I don't care about politics."
He added that "what they say is a disgrace to them, a disgrace to our country and a disgrace to Democrats."

Leftist congresswoman Ilhan Omar and her husband – the father of her three children – have split and are heading for their second divorce, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

The bust-up comes just as critics are demanding answers as to whether she married her own brother in a successful bid to get him into the United States.

Omar has now dumped her current husband Ahmed Hirsi - who she first married in a religious ceremony in 2002 and divorced in 2008 - and moved into a penthouse apartment in one of Minneapolis's trendiest neighborhoods, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

But Hirsi, is also spending time at the apartment, which is in the Mill District sector of Minnesota's largest city, when she is out of town

Wow,' said Hirsi, when approached about the split by DailyMail.com outside the complex. 'I can't comment on that.

'I'm sorry, I just can't say anything,' he added before driving off in his BMW car.

Omar did not return calls requesting comment from DailyMail.com by deadline.

Hirsi, 39, had been seen leaving the $2,860-a-month home alone at 7:45am and returning to drop off his mother and his younger daughter nearly three hours later.

While I can safely guess that I dont agree with any of her political stances (unless it has something to do with justice reform or civil asset forfeitures), dont we need atleast one sitting US Representative or Senator who isnt scared shitless of criticizing Israel or AIPAC?
