72 officers off streets amid probe into social media posts

The posts were uncovered by a team of researchers who spent two years looking at the personal Facebook accounts of police officers from Arizona to Florida. They said they found officers bashing immigrants and Muslims, promoting racist stereotypes, identifying with right-wing militia groups and, especially, glorifying police brutality. All the posts were public.

The commissioner said the internal affairs division prioritized posts "clearly advocating violence or death against any protected class such as ethnicity, national origin, sex, religion and race."

What about the rest of us?

No. There will be a strong movement for them to be "re-educated", to not write about such things online. And then back to the streets again.

A cop can falsely arrest you, beat you, murder you as long as he refers to you as sir. If he uses the n-word: The Horror!

If the Officers said anything offensive, I'm sure it was in jest.

They should be re-hired immediately.

I agree, most of their posts I'm sure are 'locker room' talk, how could we expect different
from a Cop, the Muslims and Illegals do the same, but they are 'protected', a special class.

But when the opposite happens its ok then? I have seen multiple times where immigrants and Muslims have said alot of bad things to native people of their host countries but arent punished for their opinions apparently i don't see how that is fair.

[COLOR=#141414]They said they found officers bashing immigrants and Muslims, promoting racist stereotypes, identifying with right-wing militia groups and, especially, glorifying police brutality.

I no longer have faith in these accusations, in most cases these accusations have zero merit. The lines have been blurred between what is and isn't racist, etc...
