Paul himself has suggested "[s]omebody like Walter Williams" as a running mate.

Ok I have seen some speculation on the subject how about a poll

These are for for possible VP.

Mark Sanford.

- He's a term-limited governor.
- He was a member of Ron's Liberty Caucus, and actually considers RP a sort of mentor.
- Doesn't always toe the party line (brought live pigs to the GOP-controlled state house to protest pork barrel spending... SERIOUSLY pissed off the muckittymucks)
- Strong military man (still fulfills his National Guard obligations as a sitting governor)
- Handsomeness comparable to Romney and Edwards, but more natural (i.e. no $400 haircuts)

If RP shows early strength (top 3 Iowa, top 2 NH) and announces Sanford as his presumptive running mate the day after New Hampshire, we could witness Wolf Blitzer invent a new word to describe "amazing times a billion".

This poll is totally incomplete. How can you leave out the Judge Andrew Napolitano or Chuck Hagel or Palin or sanford.

I'm really hoping for a Mark Sanford endorsement/announcement out of NH but in a "conventional" scenario Williams would make a great choice.

Sanford: VP
Napolitano: AG
Hagel: Secy of Defense
Palin? That stuttering guy from "A Fish Called Wanda"? JK... she needs to knock out that fossil Ted "Bridge To Nowhere" Stevens.

Steve Kubby or Michael Badnarik should be the VP.

Huckabee?? He can be Secretary of Religion. Oh, sorry, there is no such post...too bad. Maybe we can make him ambassador to Mexico instead.

Walter Williams, Andrew Napolitano, Mark Sanford, or Chuck Hagel.

The former two for ideological unity, the latter two for a stronger ticket at the expense of less "purity" (although they might also be too establishment for me to be comfortable with them being within a heartbeat of the presidency).
