A lot of kids are rebellious by nature and distrust authority.

Who are the ones pushing leftist ideology, anti-Trump BS, climate science, etc, etc??

Authority. Schools.

Most kids besides the few bootlickers hate schools, why the hell are they going to let school tell them how to vote when they grow up??
