Just found out tonight my cousins home went up in flames. Fortunately they werent home and even had their pets as they were out of town. In any case, my $600 I had reserved for the 16th is now going to them to help them get back on their feet. So PLEASE I need 600 of you all to go out there and put just $1 more into the 16th pot. Thanks and good luck on the 16th everyone!

Thanks! The worst part is they went thru hell and high water for 4 years of living on scraps to save for that house and they did the smart thing by buying a home they could easily afford. The 3 years they had it they really made it an awesome home that a person immediately felt welcomed in. Though I will say times like these, it makes a person realize whats most important and that also, it could happen to you as well at any time. But my family pulls together rapidly and always does the right thing by helping each other in any time of need. I guess it also helps that my bro just won a big case and said he was giving them $8,000 to help them out... see everyone.. not all lawyers are Evil!

I'm sorry to hear about that happening.

One thing you can do instead of donating is spread the word! We have two days remaining! You could go and tell your friends on Myspace, Facebook, other forums, and elsewhere about the Tea Party!

The important thing is that nobody got hurt. Stuff can be replaced. Good to see everyone here is helping cover you. Ron people are the BEST!!!

I wish I could add to it, but im maxed out as of September 1st and cant even donate myself on the 16th(damn that John McCain!!), so I guess you and I are gonna be innocent bystanders this time around.

I'll put in a little extra for you too...

Not sure exactly how much that will be, but it will be something.

Dr. Paul would want you to take care of your family first instead of relying on the government. He would definitely approve.

I'll kick in an extra 10 for you. Thank god for check guard - I almost exceeded the 1000.00 maximum on that but got paid just in time - so I am basically broke, but I've been buying $50 worth of company stock for the past year so I went on line and sold that - came to about $1400.00 - so I can donate and be semi-solvent for the moment.

For every irresponsbile thing a Paul supporter has ever done this just goes to show there are just as many of us that are good people. I wont be donating on the 16th, I probably wont even have a job by then. But If I did I would definately be chipping in more for you.

hummtide
12-15-2007, 11:01 AM
My cousin (also a ron paul supporter) told me she would not take the $600 I wanted to give her. In her own words.. "You know what that money is for.. what happens if that $600 became the difference in Ron Paul winning or losing?" She sure knows how to make one feel guilty about trying to help out. So, I still gave it to her, and told her.. On November 16th for her to donate to the campaign... then she was like.. "well ok, now that I can do" What other presidential candidate in our time could cause people who lost everything to turn away help they need so they can help that person become elected? NO ONE!

Your cousin is amazing. I'll have my 21-month old son donate $100 in your honor. That way, we get an extra donor and donation.
