Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul's supporters are ready to take off.

Writes Bryce Henderson, Liberty Political Advertising's media co-ordinator: "Another monumental day in N.C. aviation history as the Ron Paul Blimp prepares for lift off. The blimp will launch Friday, December 14th, at 8am from the Airship Management Hanger in Elizabeth City, NC headed for it's first stop in Chester, SC."

The innovative advertising campaign will stream live coverage of its progress from the air via Justin TV, and provide those who really want to know with updates via GPS on the blimp's very own web site.

Since there's a 15-mile no-fly zone around Washington DC, it's more likely that the blimp will have to land in the suburbs somewhere to meet supporters and journalists.

So far, a journalist from Radar magazine is scheduled to accompany the Ron Paul supporter crew on its inaugural flight. Journalists from XM Radio, CNN, ABC, US News & World Report may also hop along for the ride once the blimp reaches the nation's capital -- well, its suburbs at least.
