Can anyone verify this? Any truth to it?
Someone in my meetup group mentioned it.

There was some fake post from Fred's wife posted here earlier today. So I think it's fake.

Yes it doesn't seem likely.
All his donors would be pretty pissed off.

The word among the Fred Thompson grassroots is that Thompson will announce he is throwing in the towel before Iowa.

I assume this will result in another surge of support for Huckabee, and might just be enough to seal the deal against Romney.

I'll tell you this much, I don't think he will be on the ballot in DC.

Here is an article in our local weekly on the DC GOP candiates. Note that Fred Thompson is NOT among them.

He is not on the ballot in Delaware unless he takes matching funds.

That would be bad for us. We need the neocons spread as equal as possible.

ronpaulforum.com is real, the others of similar format are not... but they are on the same server.

That forum is a farce. An obvious one, please don't reference that as a source of information anywhere.

It doesn't make sense to me to drop out just a few weeks before the votes are cast. Why not wait to see the results?
