A Seattle school district reportedly sent a letter (https://www.foxnews.com/faith-values/washington-school-district-wants-teachers-to-bless-muslim-students-in-arabic-during-ramadan) to its teachers, requesting that they bless district Muslim students in Arabic during Ramadan.

The letter also reportedly requested that teachers give preferential treatment to Muslim students during the Islamic holiday — which is a month long — including permitting students to miss classes and exams.
Ramadan, which honors Allah, began on Monday.
What are the details?

The Dieringer School District reportedly sent the letter (https://www.fcdflegal.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/redacted.pdf) to teachers in March.
The letter purportedly encourages teachers to wish students "Ramadan Mubarak" — "Happy Ramadan" — or "Ramadan Kareem," which means "Have a generous Ramadan."
The letter also requests that teachers excuse students from testing on two of the more important days of Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr and Eid-Al-Adha.
CAIR reportedly encouraged the district to act in such a manner, and Superintendent Judy Martinson reportedly complied with the organization's requests.

What about this lawsuit?

A religious liberty advocacy group (https://www.fcdflegal.org/) reportedly got wind of the alleged letter through teacher and parent complaints, and now the group has threatened to sue the district (https://www.fcdflegal.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Letter-re-CAIR-Islamic-Accommodations-Dieringer-Sch.-Dist.-Freedom-of-Conscience-Def.-Fund.0562019.pdf).

The Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund is alleging that the district is violating their employees' conscience by forcing them to accommodate Muslim students' religious beliefs.
Daniel Piedra, the organization's executive director, said that the district is violating its teachers' First Amendment rights.
"By urging teachers to bless Muslim students in Arabic, the district is running roughshod over the First Amendment's mandate of government neutrality toward religion," Piedra said. "A school district would never order teachers to 'welcome' Catholic students during Easter with 'He is risen, alleluia!'"
"Singling out Muslim students for special treatment is blatantly unconstitutional," Piedra said.
Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesperson for CAIR, told Fox News that any lawsuit is simply a "sign of the growing Islamophobia in our nation that showing respect for and accommodating the religious traditions of Muslim students could result in punitive legal action."

Apparently the leftists and bleeding hearts will not care until they are living under Sharia law. And then it will be too late.

Most of the ones that are now represented by Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib still probably don’t care.

On the heels of a Seattle-area school district reportedly requesting that teachers bless Muslim students in Arabic during Ramadan (https://www.theblaze.com/news/seattle-school-district-wants-teachers-to-bless-muslim-students-in-arabic-during-ramadan-give-them-preferential-treatment-report), yet another Seattle-area school district is being accused of promoting Islam and giving Muslim students preferential treatment during Ramadan, when no food or drink is taken from dawn to sunset.

After receiving complaints from the community and an anonymous teacher, the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund said it sent a "cease and desist" letter (https://www.fcdflegal.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Cease-and-Desist-re-Ramadan-policy-Northshore-Sch.-Dist.-Frdm.-of-Consc.-Def.-Fund.5102019.pdf) to the superintendent and school board of Northshore School District in Bothel demanding the district end its special Ramadan policy.
What's the background?Michelle Reid, the district superintendent, noted in her May 3 blog (https://www1.nsd.org/n/~board/superintendent-blog/post/thursday-thoughts-may-2-2019) that "while our practicing Muslim students move through the month of Ramadan, it is possible that they partake in no food or drink during school and it is important that we take appropriate measures to support their learning."
She noted a document (https://resources.finalsite.net/images/v1556735927/nsdorg/idl62nvikfgcbx4eqme1/Ramadan-Letter.pdf) from Chris Bigelow, the district's equity and diversity director, that "provides details on how our district is supporting our Muslim students. There are also ideas for providing additional support, and links to resources for a greater understanding of Ramadan."

What does the document suggest? The document regarding treatment of students during Ramadan addresses three areas: space, physical education, and empathy. Some of the highlights:

"Many Muslim students may feel embarrassed to be specially accommodated. A brief mention of Ramadan or a lesson on it may promote the feeling of inclusivity."
"When planning school activities and events, think about how it will impact practicing Muslim students. Will they feel left out? Will they feel pressured to break their fast before sunset or Iftar (breaking of fast)?"
"Lunchtime is probably one of the most difficult periods to endure while fasting. It might help to provide a comfortable space for Muslim students to go to instead of the designated lunchroom."
"Some Muslim students may request a quiet space for their midday prayers. To avoid calling unwanted attention to them, plan ahead of time so your student can quietly slip away for prayer, which usually takes no longer than five minutes."

What did the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund have to say?"The school district's so-called Ramadan 'accommodations' run roughshod over the First Amendment and are a blatant insult to students of other faiths," Daniel Piedra, FCDF's executive director, said. "Under the mantle of 'diversity' and 'inclusion,' school officials have exalted Islam as the state-sponsored religion. Teachers and parents are outraged, and they should be."
In his cease and desist letter, Piedra wrote that the district "acted under color of state law to create an official government action that has a primary effect of advancing religion." He added that "administrators and teachers must never be placed in the position of monitoring a child's compliance with a particular religious requirement, such as prayer, dietary restrictions, or wearing a head covering."
