As GOP turns more pro-life, some Dems seem to be going in opposite direction.

Breaking on Newsweek:

'His Mother Should’ve Aborted Him': Alabama Lawmaker Responds to Criticism by Donald Trump Jr.

By Ewan Palmer On 5/3/1
Alabama Rep. John Rogers has doubled down on his controversial remarks on abortion following criticism from conservatives including Donald Trump Jr., suggesting the president’s “evidently retarded” son is the best argument for abortion there is.

The Birmingham Democrat was condemned for remarks he made in the House of Representatives in Alabama while voicing his opposition to a bill which would make abortion illegal in the state except for when the woman’s health is at risk.
“Some kids are unwanted, so you kill them now or you kill them later,” (https://www.newsweek.com/alabama-abortion-ban-john-rogers-video-1412502) Rogers said.

"You bring them in the world unwanted, unloved, and you send them to the electric chair. So, you kill them now or you kill them later.”

Trump Jr. was one of those who criticized Rogers remarks, describing them on Twitter as “stomach curling.”

“Every Democrat running for President needs to be asked where they stand on this. The extreme turn we've seen from Dems on abortion recently is truly sickening,” he added.

When asked for his response to Trump Jr.’s remarks, Rogers said the 41-year-old is proof that he’s “right to make a scene about abortion.”

“Him being born, that’s proof right there,” he told WVTM. “That’s a very, very good defense I have for abortion.
"His mother should have aborted him when he was born and he wouldn’t have made that stupid statement.
“He’s evidently retarded. crazy. Donald Trump’s son, I know there’s something wrong with that boy,” he added.

At least he is actually telling the truth here. It isn't pretty but its the ugly internals behind their pretty little pro-choice campaigning.

This...it may be ugly, but he's telling the truth.

That's the bottom line reality of authoritarian collectivism.

Dems , what else did you expect ?

We can expect some change. If NY liberal Dems like Trump can come around on partial birth abortion aka 'baby killing', there is no reason that conservative AL Dems can't.. perhaps through political inducements, prayer etc.

John Rogers, the state representative who made controversial remarks about abortion, claimed Democratic Alabama Sen. Doug Jones called him and said he personally agreed with his comments, but would have to publicly come out against him.
“Well, he called me twice,” Rogers said during an interview (https://embeds.audioboom.com/publishing/playlist/v4?bg_fill_col=%23ecefef&boo_content_type=channel&data_for_content_type=4416285&image_option=small&link_color=%2358d1eb&player_theme=light&src=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.audioboom.com%2Fchannels%2F4 416285%2Faudio_clips%3Finclude_child_channels%3D1# 5/6%20John%20Rogers%20Interview) on Talk 99.5’s “Matt & Aunie Show” on Monday, describing two phone conversations he said he had with the Democratic senator. “He told me, ‘John, I know you’re right, but I to come out against you.’ I said, ‘OK, fine, if it’s going to help your campaign, do that.’ That’s the kind of guy I am.”

“This is my take-away so far, that a sitting United States senator called you and said that they agreed with you, but politically he had to step out publicly against you,” the radio host said, putting the exchange into perspective.
“Yeah. Right. I told him, plus the fact, somebody overheard, I didn’t know he was on the phone — on the line,” Rogers said.

Democratic Alabama state Rep. John Rogers announced Tuesday he will be running for the U.S. Senate following his controversial remarks on abortion.
“I am now a candidate for United States Senate,” Rogers said on the state’s House floor, according to Yellowhammer News (https://yellowhammernews.com/dem-rep-john-rogers-announces-primary-challenge-to-doug-jones/). “I’ve already, I’ve got — I’m running for real. I’m not backing down. I’m a candidate. I’ve already — I asked them to give me $1,000,000 [in campaign pledges to be able to run] and already $500,000 have come in already. And so if I get $500,000 , I’ll be an official candidate. I’m telling you right now.”
