Seven people were shot, leaving at least one dead, in West Baltimore Sunday evening as police say a man opened fire on an outdoor cookout.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said an unidentified black man approached two cookouts at the corner of Edmondson and Whitmore avenues and began firing indiscriminately into the crowd, striking several men and women

Harrison said that one man ran toward the Perkins Square Baptist Church and was found dead later. The six other victims were taken to area hospitals, and Harrison did not have information as to their condition.

He added there was evidence to suggest someone shot back, but officers were still piecing together the events.

Police officials did not say that the suspect was a white man wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, contradicting the swirl of rumors that spread across social media following the shooting.

While the shooting was near two churches — Perkins Square and Doswell Cathedral on Doswell Avenue — Harrison said the shooting did not have any connection to planned events at the two locations.

A gunman opened fire in the middle of two cookouts, killing at least one person, police say
(CNN)At least one person was killed and six injured in a shooting Sunday evening in West Baltimore, Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the gunman and more potential victims.
The person who died ran behind a nearby church and collapsed, Harrison said in a news conference. But the shooting was not connected to church, despite earlier reports.

despite earlier reports.

Perhaps early reports were wrong but I will not rush to believe that the MSM is unbiased about reporting crimes against Christians.

And?

Not Church related other than there was a church nearby. Two actually.

"When the Maryland General Assembly passed one of the strictest gun laws in the nation in 2013, gun control advocates made sweeping statements about how the legislation would prevent gun violence, reduce the criminal element and save lives. Gun advocates, who were against the Firearm Safety Act, thought that the Maryland gun law infringed on Second Amendment rights. Of concern were aspects of the law that banned 45 different assault weapons, put a capacity limit on gun magazines and significantly increased the licensing requirements for handgun purchasers including mandatory fingerprinting. That doesn't mean the church wasn't throwing the cookout.

Becuse Baltimore is a GOD-fearing right-wing Christian town?

They only offered an assertion, they didn't give any details of who was throwing the cookout if it wasn't the church.
