John Earnest's manifesto has the writer DESCRIBE themselves as a 19 year old male.
Police just said the suspect is 19 years old.

Of note, there was an early morning arson (https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-mosque-fire-escondido-20190324-story.html) at a nearby Mosque in Escondido, California on March 24th which remains unsolved. While several people were sleeping inside, one person who was awake spotted the flames and managed to put out the fire.

The potential suspect's "manifesto" also has a series of Q&As in which he says he is not a Trump supporter.

“Are you a Trump supporter?”
You mean that Zionist, Jew-loving, anti-White, traitorous cocksucker? Don’t make me laugh. -Manifesto (http://archive.is/hChM5#selection-1135.0-1141.90)

Here's the 4Chan post he posted about it, similar to the Christchurch shooter that posted his manifesto on 8Chan pic.twitter.com/LSe5cUDTnS (https://t.co/LSe5cUDTnS)

To my brothers in blood. Make sure that my sacrifice was not in vain. Spread this letter, make memes, shitpost, FIGHT BACK, REMEMBER ROBERT BOWERS, REMEMBER BRENTON TARRANT, filter the religious D&C, and filter the schizos who will inevitably call this a ‘false flag.’ Something to note, people grossly overestimate the police’s ability to solve ‘crimes’ such as ‘arson’ and ‘murder.’ Lots of threads about ‘Feds are talking to me guys because I post on 8chan, it’s so spooky’ are ‘organically’ popping up. What a load of shit meant to try to scare the goyim and prevent retaliation.
The author of the note claims to be a "a 19 year old nursing student from the depths of Commiefornia."

POWAY, Calif. (AP) — A 19-year-old man armed with a rifle opened fire inside a synagogue near San Diego as worshippers celebrated the last day of Passover, killing a woman and wounding three people Saturday, authorities said.

The man, whose name was not released, fled in a car and called 911 shortly afterward to say he was involved in the shooting at Chabad of Poway, San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit told reporters.

When an officer reached the man on a roadway, “the suspect pulled over, jumped out of his car with his hands up and was immediately taken into custody,” Nisleit said.

The officer found an AR-type rifle in the front passenger seat.

San Diego County Sheriff William Gore said at a news conference that he had no details on motive. Authorities say they were reviewing copies of his social media posts.

There was no known threat after the man was detained, but authorities boosted patrols at places of worship as a precaution, Nisleit said.

The shooting came exactly six months since a shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue killed 11 people in the deadliest attack on Jews in U.S. history.

The shooter called 911? then, just pulled over, raised his hands and arrested. WTH!

In his manifesto, John Earnest wrote a “lightning round” with questions and answers. The first question he answered was whether he is a Trump supporter. He wrote, “You mean that Zionist, Jew-loving, anti-White, traitorous c*cksucker? Don’t make me laugh.”
.....

Speaking outside of the White House on Saturday, President Donald Trump said, “”y deepest sympathies go to the people that were affected, the families, their loved ones, by the obviously looks right now based on my last conversations, looks like a hate crime, hard to believe. “We’re doing some very heavy research we’ll see what happens, what comes up, at this moment it looks like a hate crime, but my deepest sympathies to all of those affected and we’ll get to the bottom of it.”

Know what? I have thought about manifestos for a longtime. I do not trust the government to not forge a manifesto to fit their own agenda. I was once considering putting together an encrypted website for manifestos and suicide notes. Where a user can set it up to be published on a time release or dead man switch. At least the public would get the real story if one wanted them too. But I was worried that it could promote reasons to commit such acts just to make a point on this medium. And I know for sure anyone who owned such a site as this would have to have a killer legal team. Ruled it out for myself, but it is a curious concept...

Fail. Neuberger is also German. Neuberg means "new mountain". A Neuberger is a person from Neuberg. Somebody from Berlin is a Berliner. Not necessarily Jewish.

https://www.ancestry.com/name-origin?surname=neuberger

Neuberger Name Meaning

German and Jewish (Ashkenazic): habitational name from any of several places called Neuberg (Hesse) or Neuburg (Bavaria, Palatinate, Mecklenburg). Jewish (Ashkenazic): ornamental name from a derivative of German Neuberg ‘new mountain’.

Newberg History, Family Crest & Coats of Arms

Early Origins of the Newberg family

The surname Newberg was first found in Bavaria, where the name Nueberg was anciently associated with the tribal conflicts of the area. They declared allegiances to many nobles and princes of early history, lending their influence in struggles for power and status within the region. They branched into many houses, and their contributions were sought by many leaders in their search for power.

Not sure why he is calling it a 'hate crime', given the widely reported political motive (https://heavy.com/news/2019/04/john-earnest/) it would be a terrorist attack by definition.

There were no high profile calls for him to suspend his political rally, so there should not be any political fallout for not canacelling his political rally right afterwards.

Many of the names that people think "sound" Jewish are, in fact, simple German, Russian or Polish surnames. You generally can't identify Jewish ancestry by a surname alone. Actually, there are really only three surnames (and their variations) that are generally specifically Jewish: Cohen, Levy, and Israel. Yet, even variations of these common Jewish-specific surnames may not be Jewish. The surnames Cohan and even Cohen, for example, could indeed be Jewish in origin; but could also be an Irish surname, derived from O'Cadham (descendant of Cadhan).

A Surname Alone Can't Identify Jewish Ancestry

While many of the above surnames have a greater likelihood of belonging to a Jewish family, you can't assume that any of the last names are actually Jewish, no matter how Jewish they may sound to you, or how many Jewish families you know with that name. The third most common Jewish surname in America (after Cohen and Levy) is Miller, which is also obviously a very common surname for Gentiles as well.

Don't know, lot of unvetted claims online also. While back it was claimed that Trumpf was a german jewish name that was later changed to drop the last letter but that did not turn out to be true.

Actually the family name used to be Drumpf. His grandfather changed it after he came via chain immigration as an unaccompanied minor (aged 16) to join his sister who was already in the United States. He was trying to avoid military service in Germany and didn't speak English.

https://www.bustle.com/articles/144964-why-did-donald-trumps-ancestors-change-their-name-from-drumpf-the-story-behind-the-switch

Donald Trump's grandfather Friedrich Drumpf did change his name to Frederick Trump after immigrating to America, and an easy assumption would be that he wanted to Anglicize the name. Many immigrants did this over the centuries once arriving for a number of reasons, from avoiding discrimination to assimilating more quickly to improving their business prospects, reported The New York Times. And Trump is a very good name for business — not just because it's easy to pronounce, but because of how it strikes the ear and certain connotations that come with it.

Does anyone understand the references to Minecraft in the John T. Earnest’s manifesto? Does he think he’s playing a video game? Does he think he’s inside a video game? Is Minecraft some sort of codeword in this context?

It is so easy to log on to Minecraft and get away with burning a synagogue (or mosque) to the ground if you’re smart about it. You can even shoot up a mosque, synagogue, immigration center, traitorous politicians, wealthy Jews in gated communities, Jewish-owned company buildings, etc. and get away with it as well. If your goal is strictly carnage and the highest score—I’d highly recommend you look into flamethrowers…

Don’t leave DNA (use clothes you’ve never worn before and a mask—dispose of these after). Don’t bring any electronics which can be used to track you. Don’t leave a paper trail. Don’t take too long doing it, and never speak of it (all electronics are bugged). Again, I’m talking about Minecraft.

There is also an "open letter (http://archive.is/hChM5#selection-829.11-829.23)" manifesto in which Earnest explains that he is a "man of European ancestry," who says he also "scorched a mosque in Escondido a week after Brenton Tarrant's sacrifice," referring to last month's New Zealand Mosque shooter which the manifesto says was the "catalyst for mer personally."

So, a revolutionary nationalist...

The potential suspect's "manifesto" also has a series of Q&As in which he says he is not a Trump supporter.
“Are you a Trump supporter?”
You mean that Zionist, Jew-loving, anti-White, traitorous cocksucker? Don’t make me laugh.

I think it is a false flag because it looks like one:

WTH!

And because nobody would think that this would help their cause.

SS dislikes the nationalist terrorist because said terrorist makes nationalism look bad, but it's not hard to see (except for those with a definite interest in not seeing) how there's a direct connection between this terrorist act and that ideology. The purpose of terrorism isn't to get the attacked party to "surrender." That's obviously not going to happen.

The purpose (when there is any kind of rational purpose) is generally publicity.

The nationalist/communist/Islamist/etc is trying to get attention for his cause, in the hopes that more people join it.

No amount of blowing up coffee shops or shooting people at soccer matches is going to cause the targeted society to "surrender."

To the extent any terrorist believes that, his motivations fall into the "irrational" category.

The only rational purpose of terrorism is to grow a movement by inspiring new people to join.

The communists did this with success; the Islamists are presently doing this with success; now it seems the nationalists are giving it a go.

Attacks like this discredit the attackers in the eyes of the general population, but the attackers aren't appealing to the general population.

Think about how ISIS recruited its army.

Why did they go commit pointless (as to making anyone "surrender") attacks, then post them on Facebook?

To get the disturbed minority hopped up enough to come join them.

Hell, ISIS even claimed credit for attacks it didn't commit. Think about that.

Quite often, the purpose of terrorist acts is to predictably cause blowback by the authorities, thus creating some sympathy in others, especially those that then become victims of the government blowback.

The purpose of terrorism is to bully the target into complying with your demands.
...

Sometimes that is a goal. Additionally, a large government (or corporation) often would rather cater and payoff than disrupt the status quo, as long as the demands do not contradict that status quo. (I.e. “Your product kills people, you must stop selling it.” “How about $1 million and a non-disclosure agreement instead.” “Agreed.”) In other words, there can be a payoff, even if supposed demands are not met.

The ‘Tactical Rabbi’ helps synagogues defend against anti-Semitic violence

It was 45 minutes into his lecture when the rabbi pulled out an AR-15.

“Who thinks, by show of hands, that we should be carrying more guns in shul?” Rabbi Raziel Cohen asked the crowd at a Westside Chabad synagogue Wednesday night, during an active-shooter seminar organized in the wake of the deadly attack at Chabad of Poway (http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-hate-crime-poway-synagogue-shooting-20190509-story.html).

Half the room raised their hands.

In the days since the shooting, Chabad leaders in California have scrambled to secure public safety grants and to calm frightened congregants, mobilizing hundreds more through active-shooter drills and community defense training. In Southern California, religious security experts such as Cohen, who calls himself the “Tactical Rabbi,” are quickly becoming their own cottage industry.

Chabad is a movement of Hasidic Judaism. Unlike other Hasidic communities, which tend to be insular, Chabad views outreach to unaffiliated and less observant Jews as the heart of its theology — a position that sometimes puts it at odds with other Jewish groups.

Los Angeles has more Chabad congregations than anywhere outside Brooklyn. A deadly attack on one of their own just six months after the massacre in Pittsburgh has raised painful questions of identity for a group long animated by outreach. The sect’s embrace of ahavat yisrael — the commandment to love one’s fellow as oneself — is these synagogues’ reason for being.

“Our arms are open, but security always comes first — if some of the openness has to be sacrificed, so be it,” said Rabbi Simcha Backman, who heads Chabad of Glendale and is part of the sect’s California leadership. “In Jewish law, going back to the Torah, first and foremost is protecting lives. Everything else is secondary. And in the world we live in today, we need to focus on saving lives and keeping people safe.”

But safety comes at a price. One large Chabad congregation meets in a building disguised as an empty storefront. Another now questions newcomers at the door.
