It's simple. Just be everything he pretended to disapprove of during his campaign.
One thing you can't take away from the left:
They keep their eye on the ball, they proceed with determination toward their goals, and they promote their own.
Meanwhile, we have the Trump Administration.
How many times is Trump going to appoint someone who loathes him and what he stands for, particularly in foreign policy, where he actually has some decent instincts?
This time it's Morgan Ortagus, who is presumed to be the new State Department spokesperson.
In 2016 she said, in reference to Trump, "In his gut, he does not think that Americans should be, quote unquote, the policemen of the world. I don't see it that way. I think that America is the glue that holds the world together.... So there were points that I agreed with him today, but overall, I fundamentally disagree with his isolationist approach to foreign policy."
There it is.
"Isolationist."
Nobody worth talking to, much less hiring, uses that agitprop word.
Then, among other things, she declared of Trump, "You have somebody who makes fun of people with mental and physical disabilities. That's disgusting; there's no other way around it." This is a reference to Trump's alleged treatment of New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski.
That was a fake story, as you surely know, or at least suspected: Trump used the same gestures when criticizing Ted Cruz and an Army general, and in any case Kovaleski's disability does not involve flailing his arms, as Trump did. (The incriminating evidence was a still shot, in which Trump's movements were stopped at the split second at which his hand position resembled Kovaleski's.)
So we face a bizarre situation: Trump's opponents seem determined to fight him on fake issues like Russiagate, or in areas where he's actually on the right track, even if only partially.
And he's determined to hire them!
