Cesar Sayoc faces the possibility of a life sentence on 65 criminal counts, including using weapons of mass destruction.

A Florida man pleaded guilty on Thursday to sending a wave of pipe bombs to CNN and prominent critics (https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2018/10/targeted-suspected-pipe-bomb-packages-181025134247285.html) of US President Donald Trump (https://www.aljazeera.com/topics/people/donald-trump.html), attacks that harmed no one but created fear as the devices turned up, day after day, at locations across the United States (https://www.aljazeera.com/topics/regions/us-canada.htmlc).

Cesar Sayoc sobbed as he entered the plea before a federal judge in New York.

"I'm truly sorry," he said.

He faces the possibility of a life sentence on 65 criminal counts, including using weapons of mass destruction and illegal mailing of explosives with intent to kill.

Sayoc had been scheduled to go on trial this summer on charges that he mailed rudimentary bombs to 16 targets, including Bill (https://www.aljazeera.com/topics/people/bill-clinton.html) and Hillary Clinton (https://www.aljazeera.com/topics/people/hillary-clinton.html), Joe Biden, several members of Congress, former President Barack Obama (https://www.aljazeera.com/topics/people/barack-obama.html) and the actor Robert De Niro.

Devices were also mailed to CNN offices in New York and Atlanta.

Sayoc has been held without bail since his late-October arrest at a South Florida car parts store. At the time, he had been living in a van covered with Trump stickers and images of Trump opponents with crosshairs over their faces.

Granted MAGA in the heat of moment or in the heat of political strategery ends up using politically incorrect rhetoric sometimes (that Dems use as excuse (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?532502-Hirono-calls-out-Trump-for-appalling-comments-she-says-encourage-violence&p=6767335&viewfull=1#post6767335) to call his free speech 'hate mongering') , to give credit where due he has deleted link to his Breitbart interview.

"So here's the thing—it's so terrible what's happening," Mr. Trump told the publication. "You know, the left plays a tougher game, it's very funny. I actually think that the people on the right are tougher, but they don't play it tougher. Okay? I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump – I have the tough people, but they don't play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad. But the left plays it cuter and tougher. Like with all the nonsense that they do in Congress … with all this invest[igations]—that's all they want to do is –you know, they do things that are nasty. Republicans never played this."
