The state is just the latest to take a hard look at so-called textalyzers. New York, New Jersey, Tennessee and the city of Chicago are mulling similar legislation.

The measure’s backers contend that existing distracted driving laws are nearly impossible to enforce. Though it’s illegal to text while driving in 47 states and the District, or use handheld devices behind the wheel in more than a dozen states, federal traffic safety figures show that distracted driving remains a persistent and deadly problem.

The Nevada bill would let police officers plug the device into a phone and scan for recent activity, like Facebook messaging or web browsing. The Israel-based company behind the textalyzer, Cellebrite, said it drew on the alcohol-detecting breathalyzer for the name.

Privacy advocates, including the American Civil Liberties Union, contend that law enforcement should not be allowed to use the tool without a warrant. Though the textalyzer has been cast as a “breathalyzer for texting,” the ACLU say it’s invasive and would violate Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable search and seizure.

The ACLU has also raised questions about the types of data the device would collect and how it would determine whether a person was using their phone with their hands or relying on a hands-free option.

Invasion of privacy to be sure.

AZ allows us to use cell phones, the 47 states that don't is like prohibition, it stops no one, but
makes everyone more dangerous , as they are not just using the devices but trying to hide
from leo while doing so, 'distracted' times 10.

I do not use a phone while driving . I do not care if other adults do but if they T bone me while on the phone I am going to shoot them in the head with the 12 Ga in the back seat most likely if there are no witnesses .

I don't like where this is heading at all. Why wouldn't you just say you don't have your phone on you or are they going to give you a lie detector test? Is that cause enough to search your car for it? Does it become mandatory to operate a motor vehicle? If I have two cellphones will it have to be marked on my license so they can check both of them?

Oh, I'm sure it'll become mandatory to surrender your phone if your involved in an accident. Give it time. You know the insurance lobby will push this for the safety of all.

So all they have to do is crash into you and they can take your papers. Or even better they can sabotage your car and make you crash your car and then they get your papers and the insurance companies get more money?

Elimination of the 4th and 5th Amendments is going to allow them to convict everyone of their average of "three felonies per day". Taxation by Citation, and thats only part of it. They are looking to kill multiple birds with one stone. Taking your money by citations fuels their criminal enterprise. It also modifies behavior, and not for the better. It allows people to be highly controllable as it is NOT just about safety. It IS about voluntarily surrendering all privacy so that a "correction" can be issued AT ANY TIME. How long will it be that a person needs to be "corrected" for simply visiting Ron Paul Forums? Listening to an "alternative" idea? This is how the Thought Police are formed. They get the infrastructure in place by selling it as "for your protection" from whatever their boogeyman of the week is, but eventually, it will be turned against the individuals. In Russia for example, its already illegal to have a VPN and to criticize government. Same thing in China. Eventually, if you do NOT worship your overlords, your number will be shut off and you will not be permitted to travel or even to speak. Compare this to what is already present in China. Being associated with someone that is known to have a "lower Social Credit Score" lowers your own score. You get the sheep to attack each other, and remain slaves to corporations that poison every part of us for a buck.

Population Control on a GLOBAL scale.

Ya I think I met those guys or they know me. They turned off my cellphone that I don't use and harassed me hundreds of times at my work anonymously. They could recite the things I said behind locked doors and even knew the names of all my personal friends and family members. They even threatened to kill me and my friends and family in a car accident.

You've stated this very well, but I'd like to 'reiterate' the gov , socialists, globalists
will be able to execute any citizen of lock them up for life that opposes them.
The 'Surveillance State' proves everyone guilty of something, and if that doesn't work
for 'them' , they will plant/attach things on/to your ip address just to make sure.

The question becomes; How do we prevent this 'push back' , Voting Harder doesn't seem to work.

After the president started having his people arrested after the witch hunt they started over the fake Russian hoax I believe no one is safe. Even Senator Rand Paul had his ribs broken and the left laughed and joked about it, that guy was a hero to the left.

Yeah they used the Mueller investigation. Clinton paid for the fake dossier then John McCain gave it to the FBI director James Comey who signed the FISA warrant claiming it was factual documentation and then he forced the FBI to investigate it by making ambiguous public comments which prompted a special investigation that gave them access to investigate all of Trump's people in order to find any crumb of dirt on them so they could arrest them and try to link it to Trump.

Thanks, yea I knew about that stuff , but I thought were saying that
Trump had his people arrested, as in; he ordered the arrests:

NO ONE will be safe on this planet so long as the extremists have this power. It is our responsibility, not only to ourselves, but to every future generation of humanity to make the world a safe place for Freedom.

There are three stages to Revolution:

Spread of Information
Public Dissent
Violence

The last step is where we either win or lose, and it comes at a heavy cost. They know this also very well, and work actively to use our own actions against us. They censor us so that we do not become truly informed, which protects them. Public Dissent is used against those who are still uninformed to turn them against us. Public Dissent only validates the need for more power and bigger government. Violence is equally as dangerous as that is where we have an opportunity to instill a genuine leader of freedom, or they get to install yet another destroyer of Rights.

The time for the Spread of Information has come and gone as the Age of Censorship is now upon the world. Our next recourse is to REFUSE to follow the immoral laws they demand their Agents of Violence enforce. This is not entirely to our disadvantage however as we can also persuade those same Agents, typically our Militarized Police to refuse to follow their orders. Should they actually do their job of upholding and defending the Constitution, they may very well have to disobey direct orders from their supervisors, and those who use the power of Money to control the very Cops we expect to arrest and charge those who desire to destroy our way of life. I have a strong feeling we are not that far off from Stage #2 in this scenario.

Last but not least is Violence. This is a possible full Military Coup against our completely corrupted Congress, and where the most danger exists as the human race has the potential to wipe itself out. They may also see this as an opportunity to "cull the herd of useless eaters" and keep only those who service their greedy desires left alive.

The reason for both the constant Invasion of Privacy AND Free Speech is to crush Public Dissent before it has a chance to gain a foothold.

Truth has become Treason. This is the Empire of Lies.

I think Hillary can answer this question better than I;

''What does it matter at this point''

Another thought; can you imagine what a fkd life it must be to have had a

Trumps constant bootlicking of Israel has gone from repulsive to
completely disgustingly-reprehensible.
I have zero Love for Palestinians nor any of Israel's other neighbors
but support everyone's right to exist, Israel believes they are the
peoples' with that 'exclusive' right.

Trumps over the top statement; ''Israel's sovereignty over the area''
is sickening.

I can't imagine what Trump could possibly do to win back my 30 some months
of very vocal support.
I've never been partisan when it comes to deeds, and don't see that changing
anytime soon.

My mind is open , but only to deeds, I'm done with believing in the rhetoric.
