AT&T has joined Disney and Nestle SA in pulling advertisements from YouTube (https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-02-20/disney-nestle-pull-youtube-ads-over-soft-core-pedo-ring-exposed-blogger) over a "soft-core pedophilia ring" which allowed pedophiles to identify videos of young girls engaging in sexually suggestive activities.
"Until Google can protect our brand from offensive content of any kind, we are removing all advertising from YouTube," said AT&T in a statement emailed to Bloomberg.
Originally discovered in 2016 by YouTuber "reallygraceful (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCY-UU3bN4FkMILC-CMd8N5w)" in a now-unavailable video - for which she was subject to MSM hit pieces (such as this one (https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-38829249) by the BBC's Mike Wendling), blogger Matt Wilson revived the controversy in a 20-minute video published Sunday, which has received over 2 million views.

Wilson describes how comments on YouTube were being used to identify certain videos in which young girls can be seen participating in sexually suggestive behavior - such as posing in front of mirrors and doing gymnastics and "yoga stretching." If a user clicked on one of the videos, YouTube algorithms then suggested similar 'pedo-centric' material.

I watched the video mentioned, and what he pointed out is quite disturbing. Of course, Google will use this as an excuse to crack down on all sorts of alternative media and thought criminals, regardless of what their content is. They're already creating algorithms to cull the reach of videos due to comments.

All big name companies are part of a pedo ring.

The amazing discovery that if you click on several videos of the same thing in a row, youtube will continue to suggest more of the same thing.

In response to a complaint from a user about her YouTube videos not being “advertiser friendly,” the Google-owned tech giant revealed that it will now demonetize content based on comments that it deems “inappropriate.”
“Hi there–for reference, over the past few days, we’ve taken a number of actions to better protect the YouTube community from content that endangers minor,” YouTube said on Twitter. “With regard to the actions that we’ve taken, even if your video is suitable for advertisers, inappropriate comments could result in your video receiving limited or no ads (yellow icon). Let us know if you have any questions.”

Obviously, what any of the hundreds of millions of YouTube users might say in a comment on a video is out of the control of the person who created the video. YouTube, which is known for its censorship of anyone politically right of Stalin (https://bigleaguepolitics.com/count-dankula-demonetized-on-youtube-after-buzzfeed-hit-piece/), is setting another dangerous precedent.

“Great so a lynch mob can target certain channels they disagree with. No issues there! </sarcasm>” one Twitter user said in response.

Not that I’ve seen an episode of Tosh.0 since Comedy Central went full leftist SJW propaganda channel, but IIRC, he had a segment about creepy kid videos on YouTube years ago. Seems that parents have been pimping their kids in borderline pedo videos for quite a while.

Wrong.

Yes. It’s been found that the auto play algorithms on YouTube kids can be manipulated by comments and not only pump pedo shit to lil Johnny while June is pecking at her phone all day, but also mindfuck programming to these little kids. Ted Talk somewhere about it.

Wrong.

It's wrong that Youtube gives you recommendations based on what you've already viewed?

When your kid watches an innocent video and bad actors can manipulate the recommendations so that they are watching pedo videos, then yes I think it's wrong. Pedos manipulating algorithms so that their videos are put on autoplay lists is wrong. Kids unknowingly getting exposed to pedophilia through comment manipulation is wrong. Any more questions? Youtube making video suggestions based on what you have watched is not this.

There's plenty of information out there.

That's not what is going on. The recommendations engine doesn't know what it's recommending. All it's doing is suggesting to you things which other people who have clicked on the same things as you have also clicked on. It doesn't care what that is. That's why if you click on conspiracy stuff, you get more conspiracy stuff. Food stuff, more food stuff. Animals, more animals, and so on. Not because it understands those categories, but because other people like you have followed the same set of clicks.

The algorithm doesn't know or care what you're watching. All it's trying to do is get you to watch more of it.

If you click on the same things that pedophiles click on, then you are going to get things that pedophiles like.
