Arkansas’ highest court on Thursday said a city can’t enforce its ordinance banning discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, saying it’s already ruled the measure violates a state law aimed at preventing local protections for LGBT people. The state Supreme Court unanimously reversed a Washington County judge’s decision to allow Fayetteville to continue enforcing its anti-discrimination ordinance while the city challenged the constitutionality of a 2015 law preventing cities and counties from enacting protections not covered by state law. Arkansas’ civil rights law doesn’t cover sexual orientation or gender identity.

Pretty sorry state of affairs when Arkansas takes the moral high ground on sexual issues..

Might be due to the dangerous amount of inbreeding in the political class.......

Fuck a bunch of special treatment for the weirdos, treat 'em like anyone else.

So does this mean a guy who defends himself against a huge woman who is beating him, can't use the defense that he identifies as a woman?

I think it just means that places of public accommodations are allowed to ask men to use the men's room and women to use the women's room.

Zippy will probably come in and say something about bathroom police, but it looks like the state is simply upholding property rights.
