Three Republicans in the 53-seat Republican-controlled Senate voted to support the withdrawal (Lee, Cruz, Kennedy). Rand did not vote, but would have given us four.

Nice to know if you are not a warmonger, there is no party for you.

I applaud the 19 Dems who supported Trump's withdrawal.

Correct. They didn't enact war powers to begin with. They abrogated their authority to POTUS. Even if they had, it is up to the Executive to direct the military how he deems fit.

I'm amazed that so many liberals supported the withdrawal, they finally
got something right.

The opposed will try and color it as if it takes an act of Congress
to Declare and end to a war that isn't a 'legal' war.

They were given permission for appearances sake.

So transparent...

And virtually every senator considering a White House run voted against the McConnell resolution, including Mr. Sanders, Ms. Warren, Ms. Gillibrand, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Kamala Harris of California and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota.

It certainly illustrates the degree to which an advertising budget and name recognition guarantees a senate election.

ha ha, no doubt, we've seen a lot of that over the years; Republicans and Democrats, they know
ahead of time which way the wind blows.

That's enough votes for impeachment. Ron Paul would definitely be impeached.

And Trump MUST play politics and cut deals in order to avoid it and get anything done.

This could further spur conspiracy theories that almost all senators are stooges of foreign lobbies.

But to give credits where due, Nobel Peace prize winner historic Prez Obama has not rebuked MAGA despite this:

Trump, who warned against telegraphing military action in Syria, telegraphs military action in Syria — again
